Skin

Went to the doctor today for the referral to the dermatologist but as it turns out he just prescribed some stuff for me instead. Another skin applied based thing (since that has worked so well the last two times!) but also some ingestible antibiotics. I have to use them for three months, but hopefully they'll actually work.

He said if it wasn't better in three months then he would actually send me to a dermatologist who could prescribe me the hard stuff. Said stuff is apparently very effective but also according to him has "heavy side-effects". I almost don't want this 3 month tablet system to work just so I can find out what those side-effects are.

iPod's are so, so crappy. My one is now no longer playing certain tracks. I think the entire thing has to be reformatted, but god knows how long that's gonna take. And that will be the fourth time within one week that I'll have to resync my whole library, which takes a few hours aswell. Die Apple. Just die.

Purchases in England work perfectly. Wireless broadcasts to my bedroom so no more awkward lugging the net box with it's five cords around, and my external hard drive is so pretty and small and not half as noisy as the old one. It's awesome.

Off to try an make Alan play some Mario Kart with me, and then I'll work on the fic some more. Need to focus and get it done, seriously.

Owch.

Sore. All over. Like, literally, my arms, shoulders and back hurt like hell. Partially from lugging around suitcases all yesterday, partially from playing wii with my cousins, and partially because the upper half of my bed here is all awkwardly positioning between two walls and if I roll or turn in my sleep I tend to whack a shouler or elbow into them.

Also, nose hurts. Huge lump on it, as well as a pimple atop the lump. (To be poetic about it Alan said it looked like a snowcap on top of a red mountain. What is wrong with that boy?) But seriously. My acne is clearing up nicely from my chin thanks to this cream I'm using. How typical is it that the burning shifts to my nose? Me and spots. I dunno if I shared this yet, I don't recall posting about it, but I got a pimple on the back of my knee a few nights ago. D: My skin. I swear to fucking God. I am going to see a dermatologist one of these days.

I really want a shower. Just to try and wash off the travel, plus it's so warm and humid here, and with my muscles hurting: a cool shower could actually do wonders. But there is only a bath near my room, and I don't think there's a lock on the door, so that's out cause lol, old person or nun walking in = most mortifying experience of my life. I'll have to ask about a shower.

To add to this, all I'm doing over here is browsing the net. My parents went to shop today but didn't wake me up for that (Thanks for that btw) and my cousins don't want to do anything but sit around and play the wii. I mean, really? WE CAN DO THAT AT HOME. I can browse the net at home as well but this is just about the only thing I can think of to do on my own.

Just ... fuck my life. x_x

Edit: Yeah, I hate everything right now.

Backstage Pass

Title: Backstage Pass
Pairing: ShiHan
Rating: R
Word Count: 314
Warnings: Language, Minor Sexing.
Notes: Muse has gone walkabout and so the quality of my fic decreases greatly ._. NUMBER 50! Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 2: Purr of my Table: Unthemed 8.

Shiwon whines and HanKyung grins.

The younger doesn't think it's fair. There is a hand incredibly, torturously near the considerable bulge in his trousers and it's so fucking unfair that the Chinese man doesn't just move his hand onto it and be done with it. Or better yet, put it inside his trousers.

It's not really his fault. When he sees the object of all his desires move like that, body turning and freezing and sliding and popping, all confidence and in such tight, tight leather pants, how could he be expected to control himself?

"Someone... is ... eager." The accented words come with a smirk as fingertips take steps across the skin above his pants and the other continues to rub at Shiwon's thigh.

"Can't help it when you dance like that." Shiwon insists, his own hands appreciating the feel of the leather material on Geng's legs, wondering if it would be too pushy to buy the elder more in the hopes he'd wear them. He had intended to be doing the pouncing, and yet Geng had managed to get in control. Like always.

"Hmm... " Geng smiles, and its so evil and Shiwon's eyes widen as suddenly all stimulation is gone and the elder man is walking away, hips swinging salaciously.

"You're a fucking cocktease. Do you know that?" The younger calls after him with a groan and pained expression, shifting away from the wall they had been pressed to.

"We have a "Super Show" to do. Imagine how much better it's going to be when you have to wait." There is a laugh in the elders voice as he moves toward the stage again and after a moment of adjusting his jeans, Shiwon bites his lip, kicks one of the metal supports of the stage to let out some frustration and follows.

"Fine. But you're putting those pants on again when we get home."

Waiting

Title: Waiting
Pairing: ShiHan, KangTeuk, HenChul
Rating: PG
Word Count: 1483
Warnings: N/A
Notes: Also rated B for Bleh and S for stupid. u_u Sort of dedicated to littletsuki cause she suggested frolicking in response to an earlier fic I did titled Photograph, and it sort of inspired me to do this. The two fics are not necessarily in the same universe or connected, but the links are there. Also frolicking does not actually happen, for the record. Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 9: Waiting of my Table: Unthemed 1 .

He waits. It doesn't matter how long it will take. He can wait.

He sits on the couch, resting with his arms crossed. He stays there, late into the night, long past when the other's go to sleep, and it doesn't matter that he has scheduled events in the morning. Shiwon wants to be there when he comes home.

"Hyung will be here soon." he responds softly when he's asked. LeeTeuk frowns, KangIn is stiff but his eyes betray sadness. "Don't stay up too late." the elder man says after a moment of silence, and leaves the room, and Shiwon can hear them arguing in the hallway but their words don't seem to meet his ear properly. He can't understand them.

He always falls asleep where he sits. He'll ask someone in the morning if Geng has returned. He never gets an answer, just some array of shaken heads and sympathetic looks.

LeeTeuk tries to help. One by one, all the pictures of the Chinese man disappear from the house one evening, when Teuk thinks Shiwon is in his room, listening to music and unaware. It's not just for the boy's sake, everyone could do without the reminders. But Shiwon is his primary concern.

It makes no difference, as the younger man has his door left ajar and keeps watch as glossy paper is removed from frames and placed meticulously into a new album.

Shiwon had already taken his own favourite, stolen away to safety in anticipation. He keeps it, hidden away in the locker beside his bed, taking it out to stare a while only sometimes.

When LeeTeuk is done, Shiwon gets up and follows him quietly, peeking in to the leader and KangIn's shared room, and watches him hide the album away underneath the bed. A few hours later, when no one is watching, Shiwon takes it for his own.

He is rarely left alone with his thoughts. It seems like some kind of conscious group effort to make sure he has no time by himself, but for the nights. There's always playing with DongHae, or EunHyuk trying to make him learn new dances, or ZhouMi chatting away incessantly to him or KiBum just sitting in the same room. Shiwon does it all, numbly.

That's what he is inside. Numb. But for a stubborn confidence that Geng will be back.

Until he sees Henry in his room, looking through the album, his album, and he roars. "What do you think you're doing?" The younger boys eyes widen, because Shiwon had never spoken to him that way.

"What are you-? Get out!" his voice is rough as he snatches the album out of the other's hands and Henry's eyes water. HeeChul is in the room suddenly, and Shiwon's cheek stings from where a hand is smacked across his face.

"You're not the only one who misses him. Stop it." The elder man wraps an arm around Henry and leads the crying boy out.

HeeChul tries to help too, in his own way. No good.

At some point, one of the elder men decides that it's been too long, and that Shiwon has started to look too tired in the mornings, that someone has to speak to him.

"I think you should go to bed Shiwon. Don't you think?" LeeTeuk asks, tilting his head. Shiwon shakes his own. "I want to be up when he comes home." he says assertively.

LeeTeuk exchanges a glance with KangIn. "...Shiwon. He's not going to-" The elder begins to explain, but Shiwon cuts him off. "He will be home soon. I know he will." The leader looks at him uncertainly. "How can you know that Shiwon?"

"Because he promised me he'd never leave me. And he never breaks his promises."

There's a pause and he hears Teuk sigh heavily and then a powerful pair of arms wrap around Shiwon's form, KangIn holding him protectively. Shiwon couldn't remember ever hugging the other.

He finds spots of damp on KangIn's chest, and he wonders where they come from, because KangIn isn't crying.

Whatever the other's are told of that night, they never question him about his late nights and tired eyes again. Maybe they just accepted that he'd never change, that it would never be any different.

Time passes and Super Junior ends, citing that they were never able to get over the tragic loss of one of their members.

(Though KiBum would suggest to some of the elder boys that they had not lost one member that night, but two, saying it where he thought Shiwon wouldn't hear.)

Years pass. The others try to stay in touch but it's hard when Shiwon avoids them. One by one they fall away from him, out of contact, till at last he's almost completely alone but for an odd phone call from HeeChul or KangIn.

He tries to hide away the memories, the photo albums and pictures, underneath the dust and locked away in attics. He thinks it will dull the pain but it doesn't.

He still waits. Some time soon, he promises himself. Soon. (Soon could be an hundred years away, it wouldn't make a difference.)

One evening, decades later, he finds the photograph again. His favourite. He was looking for something when the glimmer of broken glass catches his eye. He takes it out from the ruined frame, finding it still in almost perfect condition.

Young faces smile out at him, two boys, one with his arm slung haphazard over the shorter's shoulders, watching the other, leaning on him while the other laughs, eyes narrow and glittering, nose scrunched up, the picture of happiness.

He used to be happy. He used to laugh. He remembers himself doing it, as he returns to the ground. It seems so distant to him. He moves to stand outside, in the cold of the night. Barely feeling it. Barely feeling anything.

He stares at the picture, long and hard, till tears start to dampen the coloured image, and he takes off his glasses as the liquid pools in the lense.

Then, without warning or fanfare, soft arms, still familiar, wrap around his waist, and a chin rests on his shoulder.

Shiwon shudders for a moment, and though he knew, knew that this day had to come, though he had never given up faith, foolishly, even when it hurt him, even when Geng was lowered into the ground, he didn't turn his head to look, didn't dare let himself believe that it was the same touch that he remembered.

"...who..?" he says in a weak, old voice. "You know." A soft voice with an accent he's still well acquainted with responds, and cool lips ghost over the skin of his neck, intimate and frictionless, and Shiwon couldn't mistake that.

"... if I turn around... will you disappear again?" he asks, closing his eyes. "No." the other responds and Shiwon shifts but keeps his eyes closed, arms coming up to pull a lithe frame to his own. Shaking hands trace over a strong back, as if to make sure it's really there.

His eyes peek open after minutes of silence, and there he is, clear even in Shiwon's weak vision without his glasses, still young, still so damn beautiful. Shiwon reached a hand up to cup his cheek a moment. "I knew you'd come... I-I knew.. I told them. I knew." he nods then hides his face in the crook of Geng's neck, breathing him in and holding him tight, tears slipping down his cheeks as the other's digits trace tenderly through his hair.

A million questions but none that matter because he's here.

"Shh~ It's okay. I know." The other moves them inside, seemingly effortlessly, arms comforting around Shiwon, resting their forms on the bed. "You're ... s-staying?"

"Of course. For the night, I'm allowed to be here. Tomorrow we'll leave together." It takes a moment for Shiwon to understand but when he does a soft sigh runs through him.

"I never knew... so long ago when I said I'd love you forever, it was the truth. no matter when or where.... Sleep now." A kiss is left to Shiwon's forehead and the younger man feels strange all over, but not unpleasantly so, and too caught up in bliss to care. He barely notices when the hand he brings up to touch Geng's cheek is unworn and young. Geng's body seems to get warmer, closer.

"You promise you'll be here in the morning hyung? I'm not imagining...?" he swallows. Geng shakes his head, smiling and leaning in to brush a soft kiss to Shiwon's newly unchapped lips for a moment.

"I promise. And I have never and will never break a promise to you." Geng nods, smiling and Shiwon sighs, pressing his face back safely underneath the elder's chin, wanting to be surrounded by him as he slips away, after so long waiting, his paradise found.

Title: Maple Syrup
Pairing: ShiHan, HenWook, KiChul, ninja!YehWook, ninja!KyuMi,
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1088
Warnings: Crack, Fluff.
Notes: Silly, stupid stuff -_- Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 7: Maple Syrup of my Table: Unthemed 1 .

Shiwon cursed himself for getting involved. He was sleeping on the couch for the next few weeks for sure ... if they managed to get the couch cleaned, that was. He'd have the floor if they didn't.... if he could find a clean patch of ground. He was going to regret this food fight, he knew that for definite.

Han frowned at him, and he tried to smile apologetically. The other's expression didn't soften. "I'm sorry hyung." he spoke softly, shuffling closer to him. "Pfft." was the only response he got, and the elder man went and laid down on the bed away from him. Shiwon pouted for a moment, then followed, resting behind him and wrapping his arms around the elder's slim frame.

"I am, really ... for the mess anyways. I'm not sorry for teaching ZhouMi what was what, but I'm sorry for the state the house is in now." he said into Geng's ear, pressing a kiss to his ear lobe. "Do you have any idea how long it's going to take me to clean? I haven't even looked outside the door, and I know from the noise you all made alone that it's the worst ever. Oh god-"

Shiwon privately agreed. He would have to keep a strong hold on the other when he finally did peek outside of their room; Han might faint, or even have a heart attack.

He wasn't exactly sure how it had started; he had had to ask around, being asleep when it had begun. From what he could gather, it was essentially Henry's fault. The teen had accidentally spilt some of his milk onto a snarky, uncaffeinated Kyu's lap at breakfast.

Kyu, understandably, hadn't been too pleased at this, and though Mi had tried to hold him back, he had proceeded to dump the remaining contents of his cereal bowl over Henry's head, if Shiwon had heard things right. That was bad enough as it was, but naturally, it didn't end there.

RyeoWook, hyped up on sugar from his own diabetes-in-a-bowl morning feast, had taken affront to this attack on his almost-boyfriend's dignity, and had thrown what sugar remained in it's container at KyuHyun, only to have it hit a, understandably, less than amused HeeChul. ("Oh.... my god.... I just showered and straightened. You're fucking dead")

This resulted in him and Mi, protective of Kyu, throwing (thankfully) cold tea and rice krispies respectively at the young man, which Yehsung walked in just in time to see. The man had gone straight to the fridge for eggs and .... the entire thing had snow balled from there.

At some stage, EunHyuk and DongHae had awoken and joined for the fun of it. KiBum, Shiwon understood, had been drafted in by HeeChul, who had clung to him, using him as a human shield.

"And I mean, you didn't to have make it worse." Geng continued to rant as Shiwon's mouth dropped into an even sadder pout, nuzzling lovingly behind the elder's ear. "But hyung~~~ I had a good reason." he interrupted and Geng turned to look at him, eyes narrowing. "What good reason was that, exactly?"

"I... had to protect your honour." Shiwon said quite grandly and honestly and Geng snorted. "Wanted to get in on it and have part of the fun of trashing the house is more like it." Geng rolled his eyes and turned away again. "No really!" Shiwon insisted.

The fight had been going on for roughly ten minutes, cooking oil, chocolate sauce, cereals, bread and liquids flying through the air liberally, by the time the noise had rouse Shiwon and his boyfriend from their sleep. Geng had gone to the door to see what was going on, eyes widening as he saw Henry run past, laughing and throwing rice at KyuHyun who was deftly deflecting them with a frying pan.

".... I am not cleaning this up! You are joking! No damn wa-" Geng had yelled for all to hear till a cold pancake smacked him right in the face, staying there a few moments then dripping down his face. Shiwon, seeing this, had growled and immediately leapt out of bed to chase ZhouMi, who had dared to attack his Han.

"No, no don't add to it. It will only be more to cl-!" Geng tried to call after the younger but quickly closed the door as an egg flew at him from HeeChul's direction and locked it for safety.

Shiwon did wish a bit he had just come straight back at the other's words, not being able to stand having him annoyed with him. His honest reason was indeed protection of the other (though he had to admit, it had been fun.)

"No really hyung, that's all I was trying to do. And they interrupted your sleep too. That's unacceptable." Shiwon said seriously, nodding. "Eggs. Eggs scratch things and peel paint. And they're impossible to get out. And oh god the sauces... they'll all have to be wiped and soaked and.... all the hoovering I'm going to have to do. It would be faster to move house."

The other's face was a picture of clinical depression and Shiwon pouted quirked his mouth into a frown, and leaned in to nuzzle his nose affectionately. Geng shook his head and examined Shiwon's food soaked finger tips.

".... is that maple syrup?" he groaned. "Yes... but Zhoumi deserved it. He. Hit. You. With. A. Pancake. I couldn't think of a more suitable punishment than getting drenched in maple syrup."

"Maple syrup is so ridiculously sticky." Geng whined a moment, and Shiwon began peppering his cheek with kisses, desperate to regain favour in any little way. Geng exhaled, watching the younger. Shiwon's pout wibbled ever so slightly, eyes wide and puppy dog-esque. He cursed his own inability to resist such a perfect face. ... well, at least the younger had genuinely wanted to defend him. That was sweet, he supposed.

"I guess I should get started with the clean up." Geng sighed heavily, as if too put upon, and then brought up the other's digits to his mouth for a taste. Shiwon watched, lips parting in surprise. "Mm... I think I'll start with you." Geng smiled a touch, sitting up and tugging the younger's hand till he was being led to the shower, and then a grin came to Shiwon's lips. Maybe he wasn't going to regret this food fight after all.

"Don't you smirk at me." Geng spoke as he removed the younger's shirt. "Once I've washed you up, you're helping me clean."

Fireflies

Title: Fireflies
Pairing: ShiHan
Rating: PG
Word Count: 145
Warnings: Drabble, Romance
Notes: Aimless, more to keep writing than anything. Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 4: Fireflies of my Table: Unthemed 1 .

Shiwon watches him as he moves.

He doesn't even remember why they're still in the park so late; all that seemed to matter was that the elder wanted to stay out, and that was reason enough to do so.

He sits on the ground, staring unashamedly at Geng. He moves among some of the bushes, and Shiwon watches as the fireflies dance and flicker around the elder, casting soft lights on his perfect skin.

There's no moon. Nothing that should help distinguish Geng's features but he can make them out, even with those inconsistent glimmers. Soft pink lips curled into a happy smile as he wanders, then looks back at Shiwon.

Geng's eyes sparkle and it reflects in Shiwon's own.

The insects, he muses, are drawn to a light greater than their own. The one that shines to Shiwon no matter how dark the night.

Pain

Title: Pain
Pairing: ShiHan
Rating: PG
Word Count: 455
Warnings: Angst
Notes: You could say this is the sad version of this fic, a sort of other universe companion fic. Not intentionally but it sorta just wrote that way. They even have the exact same word count XD And that was luck. Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 1: Lipstick of my Table: Slash/Femslash.

You watch him while he sleeps. It's probably not something you should do, and certainly not something he would want you to. It's kind of him to even let you sleep in the same bed. Most others wouldn't allow it. You're not ungrateful but you can't help it. The peaceful look on his face is too wonderful, too perfect, and just watching gives you time to daydream.

About his touch and his lips. His softness and his smile. About how perfect his arms would feel if they wrapped around you properly, warmly, not just with friendship but something else, like the way you always hold him. Protective and possessive, trying to lay some claim to him when really, you have no right to.

But he has claim to you, a hold you've given him. Everyone seems to know it too, except him. But it couldn't be more true if you were to put a collar around your neck and give him a leash. You're unquestionably loyal.

you'll never let him down or hurt him or betray him. If everyone else is going out but he stays in, you stay in with him. If he wants to go to dinner, you'll move any friends or work on your schedule to go with him.

You hold him and hug him. Make your attempts at looking after him, make him see you are someone who would always be good to him, who never wants to be without him. You could be perfect for him, you want to convince him.

He never notices. You wonder how he'd react if you were to tell him. Not positively, you know now, because you've seen another's lipstick on his skin, and that's reason enough not to say one word. Better to have him this way than be without him altogether. But a long time has passed since you first felt for him.

Your heart is breaking, too much strain put on it from the weight of the words you want to say. A dull but constant pain, as the pieces slip away from each other, that spreads from your chest and envelops your whole being till it's unbearable.

Your family would hate you. Your religion forbids you. Two things that meant more than anything in the world to you, before there was him. Now, you love him too much. Now you can't find a way to even think of another.

You take those slim but muscular arms, and wrap them around you, imagining them holding tighter, warmer. Tuck yourself in under his chin and breath in his scent, pressing your face to his chest and hoping the cool of tears as they slip from your eyes to his skin doesn't wake him.

Mind Reading

Title: Mind Reading
Chapter: 10
Pairing: N/A still.
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1097
Warnings: Horror and everything that comes with it.
Notes: Final part of this first arc, as such. Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 4: Mind Reading of my Table: Sci Fi.

It was about damn time someone told him what was going on, and suddenly Shiwon felt something like gratitude toward the seer.

KangIn looked at him, biting his lip. "At some stage, some number of years ago, a long time from what people say ... LeeTeuk the seer came to be... though how, no one knows. Except the man himself, and he doesn't talk about it, no matter how much he's questioned." KangIn looked at the seer again. "And he foretold that the Ancients would continue to try to break through, and that at some stage, they would succeed. Whether one by one or a shattering of the veil....."

"But there was a solitary hope. One person, who can use the true magic. The oldest, purest form, more powerful than anything anyone else can do. Capable of destroying even the Chaos gods. That one person would be humanities strongest defense."

Shiwon took in this in, hand on his head and failing to process it at all. Till it dawned on him exactly what the other was saying, and his head exploded to a far worse level. "Ah!... no, no, you're not... I'm not..." he shook his head desperately.

"No. You aren't." LeeTeuk said dryly and looked at KangIn, anger in his eyes. "I told you KangIn. You will not live to see the day that one soul reveals itself. The next time you bring some poor child to my door, I will kill you myself to prove it to you." KangIn snorted at the threat, but went silent all the same.

There was no more words exchanged for a few moments, gloom and tension hanging too thick in the air, before LeeTeuk turned his attentions to Shiwon. "Ignore them Shiwon. Their pride makes them fear anything more powerful than themselves. You have much potential, and you will be taught by the finest among them. Geng, you shall be his mentor."

Geng's head swung as he was suddenly, mentioned, eyes widening. "What?" he looked from the seer, to Shiwon and then back again. "You will be teaching him. You have gone long enough now without an apprentice, so I'm gifting you with one." LeeTeuk smiled passively. Ordinarily Shiwon would have objected to being regarded as something that could be a gift, as it was insulting, but between trying absorb what he had been told and what was going on and the pain in his head, he was struggling to even keep his eyes focused.

"I won't." Geng said simply, ignoring his own rule about disrespecting the man. "I've never taught yet, and I won't be starting now. He is not my responsibility." "You will. He became your responsibility when you allowed him to step through the rip after you." LeeTeuk said more forcefully, smile slipping away. "Can I be blamed if he was stupid enough to fall through? I have no more time for babying than you do." Geng shrugged.

"Uh... really, if its a bother to him-" Shiwon tried to pipe up but LeeTeuk snapped a "Don't interrupt." at him, and he found his mouth suddenly forced closed and incapable of opening, lips sealing, and he whined suddenly, in surprise and discomfort. The two men ignored him. "You seem to forget yourself Han Geng. I put up with KangIn's stupidities but he is an exception."

There was a subtle rage to the man's face and words and behind them, Shiwon heard splashing. He whipped his head around, hand tugging at his mouth, trying to part his lips, and saw that the large waterfall now ran much harder, crashing into the pool, and, worse, it had changed from it's pure icy blue colour and was now a deep red.

Shiwon looked back at LeeTeuk, swallowing, and understanding the other's prior attitudes toward the seer, then looking at Geng. The elder was staring back at him, eyes narrow, body tense. "Fine. My apologies." he spoke and didn't sound very sorry at all, but LeeTeuk, after a few seconds passed, seemed satisfied.

"Good." his smile returned. "Make sure to train him properly too. You know I'll know if you don't." he chuckled brightly. "And be sure to fix his headache, before he collapses. I can feel it from here. And perhaps his mouth too, although he makes quite the pretty mute." he chortled. Shiwon did not know what to make of him, but whil he did not think LeeTeuk would do any of them any harm, he would not like to test the seers patience.

"Now, why don't you all head off to sleep. I've had the places prepared while we talked." he pointed up to woods and saw, seemingly growing naturally from some of the trees, composed of roots and branches, four identical huts. "The new master and apprentice can room together, of course, and Sooyoung can have a room on her own. Whichever of the other three of you want to room together is purely your choice."

"You mean for us to stay here?" KangIn looked surprised, tilting his head, making it clear that this was not the norm. "Yes. You will stay for two days, then I'll help you with your other issues and you can be off. I am able to tell you some things about where you should go next." KangIn's eyebrows fell into a frown. "Where... we should go next?"

"Yes. You should continue to chase that bone thief, and will try to rescue Shiwon's friend; there are things to be gained on that path for you, and you will learn more about the curious actions of the Ancient's constructs. But of course it's your choice?" LeeTeuk shrugged and KangIn looked at Geng, as Shiwon spoke his room mates name, muffled behind his sealed lips, eyes widening in surprise. In the rush of everything, he didnt know if the others had even seen him or the bone thief that had taken him.

After a moment, KangIn nodded. "Two days it is then. That should give Sooyoung long enough to decide whether she wants to continue with you now she knows the truth, and Shiwon a chance to learn some basics." Sooyoung looked up, biting her bottom lip. Shiwon wondered why he was being offered no choice in the matter, and further more just how much of their thoughts he could hear.

"I don't say you can chose because you wouldn't go back if you had the choice. And I can hear all of them Shiwon." LeeTeuk laughed derisively as he got up, moving back into his hut and closing the door behind him. "Sleep well."

Title: Space
Chapter: 9
Pairing: N/A still.
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1630
Warnings: Horror and everything that comes with it.
Notes: In which KangIn gets to speak for a looooooooooong time, and much is revealed. Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 5: Space of my Table: Unthemed 1 .

"You have?" Shiwon spoke, surprised. LeeTeuk smirked. "Kim KiBum, that is the nineteenth time you have rolled your eyes at my home since you first came here. Make it twenty and I'll make sure you don't have eyes to roll to make twenty one." he said the threat cheerfully and Shiwon's eyes widened a touch. Though he had a bandage blocking his vision, the man clearly had no problem seeing, and Shiwon could see KiBum swallow in fear out of the corner of his own.

"There's nothing wrong with questions. Especially when no one was so nice as to inform Shiwon about me. Nor nice enough to inform Miss Sooyoung I'd imagine." he frowned suddenly, casting it in KangIn's direction but the other man made no sign of noticing, still grinning, somewhat stupidly. A few seconds passed.

"Come, you've been fighting. I'll brew some tea and you can heal up." LeeTeuk nodded, regaining his smile just as suddenly as it had gone, and he began moving off back where he came, the group walking behind him.

It was only around twenty minutes later when Shiwon sat, feeling refreshed at the taste of tea on his tongue, all his cuts healed over by Geng's hands. He and HeeChul moved around the group slowly, seemingly the best healers of the group, taking their time to fix any scratch and bruise. Shiwon wasn't sure whether it was because they were naturally so thorough or because LeeTeuk had told them to do it. He had a feeling it was the latter.

He could feel it, in the older ones apart from KangIn. They were on edge. Their hackles weren't up, exactly, but they kept throwing glances at the robed man as he sat at the door of his home, sipping tea from one of his flawlessly wood carved mugs. Shiwon was not quite sure why; he seemed nice enough, threat to KiBum not withstanding. The sun was beginning to set, and the fire LeeTeuk had set up before they had arrived flickered before them.

"Now, to business." he smiled as HeeChul finished fixing a gash on KiBum's forehead and went to take a seat on the grass. (LeeTeuk had apologized for not having enough chairs and was the only person to be sitting on one.) "Yes, we're sorry to bother you. But we brought Shiwon because-"

"Geng, please. I know." The elder...or was it younger man interrupted. Shiwon tried to put an age to his face but while LeeTeuk was not young, his face seemed like it could be anything from twenty to well kept forty. "Hmm.... but you bring before me two young ones, hardly even twenty years on earth apiece, and who know nothing of the origin of magic or the why the outer places exist or even why you brought Shiwon here. That is insulting." LeeTeuk folded his arms. "Shiwon has some excuse, I suppose. Having been here for such a short time. But SooYoung has been training for months now. Unacceptable."

"I am not here..." he continued. "to teach or baby. KangIn, you will explain to them. " he instructed and KangIn yawned. The heavily scarred soldier lay on the ground, as if uninterested "Why me? It's a long story to tell, and you know it better" KangIn shook his head but then after a few moments, began to speak, reciting.

"In the long ago, before man or monster existed, there was our universe." he said each word precisely, like a story learned off from memory. "The place where life was to begin. And at the edges of our universe, lay a boundary of deep power and magic, not like the one we use, but a power even purer. The veil of reality. Where all that we can understand ends."

"The veil was created though, not to keep our universe in, but to prevent what lies outside our reality entering. Out in that nothing, exists only the darkest of beings, if they can be called that. The Gods of Chaos. The Ancients." Shiwon shivered suddenly at the name.

"No one .... human-" he sat up, casting an appraising eye over LeeTeuk. "knows their origin. Nor do we truly know how many there are. They have no real form that we know, because any who may have seen them did not survive, but they are immense. We know a few of their names but to say them in the outer places is only to bring a curse on yourself. " He sighed, tongue in his cheek as if bored of the words. HeeChul, Geng and KiBum though, all looked in another world entirely, thinking of serious things. LeeTeuk continued to smile pleasantly.

"Their only goal, is to destroy. They wish to enter our universe and end the life that has been created here. That is their only desire; to torture and maim, kill and murder. They are not stupid either, simply evil. Insanity is their way." KangIns voice became softer as his words went on. "The veil protected us for a long time. They were busy squabbling amongst themselves; they hate each other as much as they want to send our world asunder."

"Millenia passed. Man became. Life passed in peace. But then they found a way... The veil is strong as a whole, and that is where those who had tried to break through had failed; trying to take it all down. Instead, one chiseled a gap, not even big enough for it's form, whatever it was, to slip through. But they found that their influence, their form of magic could pass into this hole in the veil. They created a gap world, and did with it as they pleased. Some as imitations of what they could see on the human world, some absolute madness. Perhaps they even made somewhere like here." he gestured around him, at the sky and the woods and the waterfall.

"They created constructs; imitations of life but unnatural and evil. The bone thieves, the blind bears. The vampires and the swarm. Hundreds upon hundreds. For a while these beings wandered their worlds uselessly, doomed as unnatural things are to have meaningless existences, but then, came the eyeless. Beings in the form of humans but capable of using their master's magic. They were the first to create rips, and seeing their chance to manipulate and destroy, the ancients began to send their creations through, to our world. That began the war, the war that continues to this day."

KangIn looked at Shiwon, and then at Sooyoung, and Shiwon felt his head begin to ache again. It was enough trying to take in places outside of his home.... now.... Shiwon begged mentally that there was no more. "Humans battled against the odds, but we were being wiped out. We were still primal back then. We needed something to give us a fighting chance. That came in the form of the magic that the eyeless used to open the rips. It rubbed off on us or ... something happened. We started to be capable of manipulating that power as well."

"With limitations though. We managed to use the magic for things it was never intended for, like healing. The closer we are to the edge of the veil, the closer we are to their influence, the less when we can use it for anything but battle. We have to focus to make rips if our intention is to flee. Ancients do not know of retreat." Shiwon, had he not had a migraine, may have realized then that that was the hold up in the cave.

"At first, the Ancients were pleased with the turn of events; they thought humans had some form of magic, unique to them, the kind that formed the veil and that, with some manipulation, we could bring the veil down and allow them entrance. But they were wrong. Turning their own magic against them, humans stood a better chance. We forced their troops back to the outer places. Some followed, and though the battles were forgotten from our history, the war continues, with a select few still stopping their continued crossings."

KangIn paused, then coughed and took a drink of his tea. As it left his lips, he shrugged and it seemed he was finished. Silence filled their group for a few moments. Shiwon rubbed at his temple desperately, and looked at SooYoung to see if she was handling this any better, but she was staring at the ground. Their magic... was from what they fought against? But by KangIn's words, they sounded like Gods. How could you kill a God? And how could people simply forget and ignore the fact that a war was raged everyday? Didn't they see the creatures when they crossed?

"People will forget." LeeTeuk spoke, as if reading his mind. "That is a blessing of those who fight out here. Between that simple use of the magic, and the desire of the people back where you come from to not believe what they have seen. Plane crashes and bombings are more acceptable excuse than the sight of a blind bear. " Shiwon thought back, painful as thinking was, to how he himself had forgotten Geng's presence in his room that night many years ago, and it made sense to him. "Those who can't handle it go insane and are ignored anyway. Tell them the rest KangIn."

KangIn looked at the other man, frowning and Shiwon cringed, temples throbbing horribly. "Give them a while." he argued. "It's hard enough when you learn it all over the space of a year, never mind one sitting." he shook his head but LeeTeuk seemed unmoved. "I have more to attend to than sitting, making sure you tell a story properly. Tell Shiwon why you brought him here."

Sense

Title: Sense
Chapter: 8
Pairing: N/A still.
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1446
Warnings: Horror and everything that comes with it.
Notes: Gah I feel like my muse for everything but this is dying, which is kinda bad. :| I have the next three chapters of this thing ready right now. But I'm still feeling like even the feel of this isn't how it should be u.u Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 7: Sense of my Table: Unthemed 8 .

"I don't understand. Where are you taking me? What did I do wrong?" Shiwon looked around as he was pushed through the rip, finding himself seemingly in the middle of a forest, Geng and KangIn emerging behind him as the hole in the air snapped closed. It had been a few minutes since he had accidentally killed the blind bear, and he had yet to hear a word of thanks, and the suspicious glances remained. Only SooYoung seemed to have gotten over the surprise of what he had done, and now seemed as clueless as he was to the other men's reactions.

"You didn't do anything wrong." KangIn confirmed and Shiwon was relieved. "But then why....?" He asked, uncertainly, frowning heavily as he looked around at them. KangIn just shook his head. "First we need to take you to LeeTeuk." and with that the group started winding its way through the trees, HeeChul, KiBum and Geng leading ahead while SooYoung and KangIn walked behind them, and after a few moments KangIn followed quickly.

"But... who is LeeTeuk? Is he a human?" He asked, stumbling over a fallen tree log. KangIn looked to be considering, scratching his chin. "He was supposed to have been, once. No one really knows... I suppose you would call him a seer." KangIn paused and snickered like he had cracked some terrific joke, and Shiwon heard Geng's voice from up ahead. "Treat him with the utmost respect. Only KangIn can get away with those stupid jokes with his life intact."

"A seer?" he tried to question KangIn further but the older man shook his head, as if the conversation was closed. They walked on in silence, Shiwon trying to be careful of the multiple roots that grew up out of the ground in dangerous arches from the trees. The trees grew close together, adding to the hazard and Shiwon had to be very careful and keep his wits about him to prevent himself from falling.

As they moved, SooYoung came up beside him. "Thank you." she spoke in low tones, scratching her head and catching Shiwon's arm as he clipped his toe and nearly went sprawling forward. "Uh... thank you. But for what?" he blinked at her, righting himself and the continuing their slow progression through the woods. "Back there, with the vampire on your back. I panicked a bit." Shiwon thought back to that moment, and remembered specifically the phrase "We're dead." emanating from the girls mouth and her legs shaking. A bit may have been understatement, but he shook his head kindly. "It was nothing. You would have thought of doing the same as I did, eventually."

"We didn't have eventually." SooYoung smiled at him, thankful for his saying so, but clearly knowing otherwise. "There's never time for any hesitation out here..." Her mouth quirked unhappily and Shiwon tried to think of something else, something more cheery to talk about.

"Do you know why they're all acting like this? Did I do something...?" He asked, curiously. SooYoung shook her head, brushing a hand through her hair. "No idea... I don't think what you did was wrong.... KiBum has taught me a fair amount about magic, and he said it doesn't matter how you use it, long as you use it to kill the things that live out here that aren't us." She shrugged.

Shiwon's mouth turned down slightly at the edges and he considered this for a few seconds before nearly meeting the forest floor again, caught once again by SooYoung's quick hands. He envied her balance, and the rest of them for that matter. None of them seemed to have trouble with falling. And worse, Shiwon was slowly becoming sure that the trees were in fact moving to get in his way. Not out of silly pride either; he watched a root as his foot lifted over it, and watched it move up, ever so slightly, as if intentionally trying to catch him.

"Magic... is it easy to use?" SooYoung looked thoughtful for a few a moments then bit her lip. "It's complex. And I still have more to learn. I think ... there's something about it that's important but they haven't told me yet." she said in a suddenly hushed tone, looking ahead at KiBum and the other's, then continuing. "A lot depends on where you are and what you're trying to do, and everyone has their own skills..." Shiwon nodded, thinking of the sight of the vampires vaporizing in her hands.

"Could I do that? The blowing up thing? It's pretty impressive." he complimented and felt the hairs on the back of his neck tingle suddenly. "Hmm.... maybe. There's some kind of thing where those specific talents manifest once and mostly you're better off not even trying to learn how other's do their unique ones.... There's a few who can imitate other's abilities, Geng being one I think but.... Shiwon. Shiwon? What's wrong?"

Shiwon's eyes were focused off into the dark of the woods. He knew something was watching; he felt it in his stomach. Something moved in the shadows, invisible but there. He frowned out into it, frozen on the spot until SooYoung shook his shoulder. "Shiwon, snap out of it." she spoke quickly as the boy blinked and tried to move his feet, but found them stuck tight under roots, thin but strong. "I can't..." but the younger woman had already leaned down and started to remove the growths from his ankles forward, vaporizing them with her hands. The heat burned his skin ever so slightly.

"A little advice." she spoke as she finished one foot and moved to the next. "Out here, there are no safe places. Trust your instincts but never, ever get distracted. Even the trees can be out to get you sometimes." Shiwon's eyes widened a touch and he wondered if that presence he felt was indeed just a distraction, and had he stayed behind, if the roots would have continued up his body...

"If you intend to blow him Soo, find a fucking safer place to do it." HeeChul's voice came through the trees and Shiwon saw the older man heading toward them, frowning, especially when he saw the light from the other's magic. "What are you doing? Don't do that, you'll kill the trees and LeeTeuk won't take kindly to that." He leant down to Shiwon's feet and extending a finger, and Shiwon say his skin turn ever so slightly metallic, the digit slicing through the roots near to the ground.

"Now both of you keeping moving or I'll leave you to the trees next time." Chul snapped and began walking back the way he had come, and Sooyoung and Shiwon exchanged knowing glances, a shared dislike of the man clear in both of their eyes, something of a bonding moment, and then they took off after the lithe, long haired man.

They came to the edge of the woods soon after that, stepping out into a clearing as Shiwon began to hear the sound of running water, trickles and plops and he soon found the source. The woods ended at a large wall of earth and rock and fungus, a high cliff that Shiwon had to crane his head backwards to see the top off, and flowing down from that, in an odd slow motion, was a waterfall.

Where it hit the ground there was a large pool with no obvious sign of where the water ran after; it looked like it just stopped at the pool. There was no spray from the liquid, no crashing or roaring, just the pleasant sound of water droplets as it feel peacefully. And by the pool rested one simple wooden shack, where the figure of a man was emerging.

Dressed in some mixture of brown robes and rags, but with impeccably clean pale white skin, the man moved toward them, a large staff of some kind in hand and assisting his movement. As he came closer, Shiwon saw a cloth was wrapped around his head, resting over his eyes, long strands of black hair falling to the top of the cloth. A soft, kindly smile graced thin, pretty lips.

"Geng ... KangIn." he spoke as he reached their group, veiled vision turning from one person to the next as he named them, nodding each by way of welcome. Geng inclined his head back. KangIn simply grinned. "HeeChul ... And KiBum. And, of course SooYoung... and Shiwon" Shiwon felt the other's gaze fall on him, though of course he couldn't see his eyes, and he shivered at the sensation. LeeTeuk's smile remained kindly as he kept his head turned toward him.

"I've been expecting you."

Excuses

Title: Excuses
Pairing: SiHan
Rating: PG
Word Count: 641
Warnings: Some anger, some romance
Notes: Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 6: Sparkle of my Table: Slash/Femslash .

Shiwon had better have a damned good excuse.

Geng lay fuming in bed, on his side, arms crossed, and frown clear on his face. It was late and they had to be up early for a filming but he couldn't sleep. Anger will do that to you.

Two hours cooking. Two hours. He had told the younger to be home, he had written it into Shiwon's work diary and marked it on the calendar; tonight was to be their night together. Third anniversaries don't exactly happen every day of the week. The other, when he had slipped out earlier on in the day, not even bothering to tell Geng where he was going, had promised to be back.

The Chinese man had managed to force ZhouMi and KyuHyun to take the kids out to a movie for a while. But Geng had had to sit alone at their dinner table, watching as the chicken and the roast potatoes and the gravy all went cold, swivelling red wine in a glass in his hand.

When they had arrived back three hours later to find Geng sitting in the exact same position as when they had left, Zhoumi and KyuHyun exchanged one look, the younger boy grabbed DongHae by the collar before he could give "China Umma" a "back home hug" and dragged them all upstairs to bed.

After a while, Geng had left the food where it sat and had gone to bed, far too angry to attempt cleaning dishes and throwing out food when it would be so tempting to save to dump over that stupidly handsome head, whenever it reappeared.

It was fifteen minutes later when the door to their bedroom creaked open and a tall form slipped in to bed beside him, still fully clothed but for shoes, arms slipping around him. Geng was sorely, sorely tempted to turn around and push him till he fell on the floor, and let him sleep there instead.

"Hyung... are you awake?" Shiwon's voice came softly in his ear, and a kiss was left there and Geng melted, ever so slightly, but kept his resolve firm. Nothing the younger could do stood a chance at abating his anger.

"You have some nerve getting into bed with me Choi Shiwon." he grunted, keeping his form curled tight. "I know, I know... I'm sorry. Time got away from me. It looked delicious though. Thank you so much." Another kiss was left to his cheek and Shiwon just curled more around him.

"You're sorry? What were you even doing that was so important?" he snapped and heard Shiwon sigh. "Yes... I was just busy being picky. I'm sorry, I just wanted it to be perfect but... I lost track of time. But this will make up for me missing the dinner."

"Nothing could possibly make up for that." Geng snorted. The younger would be in the dog house for weeks, if not months by how furious he was. "Mm.... hyung turn around?" The elder considered just going to sleep but turned around in the other's embrace slowly, looking at his face in the soft light for a moment, eyebrows raising in question. Then the glint of gold and diamond resting on the bed between them caught his eye.

"I had to look everywhere in the city. ... It had to be absolutely perfect. ... Just like you. Will you marry me?" Geng's breathed for a few seconds, and then a soft smile graced his lips and he nodded, eyes already watering because Shiwon just had to make him go from the angriest he had ever felt to more bliss than he could possibly handle, as a ring was slipped on to his finger and he wrapped his arms tight around the younger.

In the long history of excuses, it had to be one of the better ones.

Oops

Title: Oops
Chapter: 7
Pairing: N/A still.
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 2622
Warnings: Horror and everything that comes with it.
Notes: Number 40 8D Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 3: Oops of my Table: Phrases .

Shiwon wasn't sure how far behind they were but he didn't want to take chances. The urge to run at a faster speed down the corridors of this murky place was overwhelming but he restrained himself as best as he could; SooYoung seemed to be a naturally slow runner, and KangIn was slowed down by having to cast the balls of fire over his shoulder at regular intervals, making sure that they zigzagged across the floor. Shiwon presumed that they were some form of distraction or that some of the things that followed them were weak to the flames, but he wasn't stopping to ask. He just wished they would run faster.

He wasn't sure if they were going back the way they had originally come. It felt like that had taken too many turns too fast without thinking to be sure, and every dark wall looked the same. He wondered why one of the others didn't open a rip so they could escape here. From what he had seen previously, it wasn't something that was particularly straining for them to do, and if there was ever a time to use the ability then it was now.

"KangIn?" he spoke hoarsely in the darkness, not having much breath for anything but their movement forwards. "Leave?" he asked breathily. "Not that simple." was the other reply as he tossed another burning orb behind his back, and Shiwon asked no more. He knew he didn't know half the rules out here. It was better just to keep quiet till someone explained. But he wasn't gawking at the fiery halos around the older mans hands anymore, so maybe he was become acclimatized.

They took a left and were met with an intersection. The intersection they had split from the others? No way to be sure, but KangIn veered off to their right, which, if it was, would take them back the way they had came. Shiwon's feet pounded the ground heavily, as he swallowed as he heard something behind them roar, deep and resounding, echoing in the darkness. Shiwon stole a glance back. He swore he saw figures, shadows, not far back. They were getting close.

There was bone thief on SooYoung before he knew what had happened. One moment she was running alongside him, the next she was down. He shuddered to a halt but the girl was faster than the deadly beast, and that was saying something. She reached around as one of its blades pierced her back, and just like the vampires before it, the bone thief glowed and was no more, breaking into pieces before Shiwon's eyes. He could see the blood leaking out of SooYoung's top but the wound mustn't have been that deep.

She was on her feet in a few minutes and was running past him. "Just keep moving!" she yelled at him, seeing he had slowed a touch. His intention had been to attempt to help, but he realized the stupidity of that; as if he could have been any help at all to her.

"Need more turns, less long corridors." KangIn coughed as they rounded one. "Fucking bone thieves will only build up speed otherwise, then we'll be done." Shiwon nodded but, seeing as how they seemed to be on one set path with very few turn offs at all, and no knowing which paths would hold more turns, it seemed that they'd just have to handle whatever fate dealt them.

"Above." he gasped suddenly, seeing two maggot like forms crawling over the rough ceiling towards them. KangIn had set the vampires alight before he could blink, their quickly burning bodies falling to the ground, hopefully providing a further obstacle for their pursuers.

It felt like they had been running forever. Shiwons legs burned and his lungs gasped for air; real air, without the staleness of their surroundings. They made a turn as one came, and he suddenly skidded to a halt, finding himself faced with nothing but more black wall. They were in the room again, the one they had arrived in. He turned on his heel, ready to run again and cursing the mistake but found that KangIn had already drawn a long line of fire on the ground in front of the exit with his hand. They were sealed in.

"What-?" Shiwon began. "Ah there's no point. We can't out run then and I can't make a rip on the run. It could take me a while. Can you two hold them off?" KangIn cast his single eye from SooYoung to Shi. The girl nodded immediately. Shiwon was less quick, but he remembered the feeling of drawing his blade through the bugs body and drew confidence from it, nodding as well.

"What are we dealing with?" SooYoung asked, eyeing the doorway as KangIn walked to the back of the room, standing there and closing his eye as he focused. "A few bone thieves. Quite a few vampires. And, they have a blind bear. A big one." That sounded ominous to Shiwon's ears. "Have?... but you said blind bears will just fight anything that they come near?" SooYoung's voice was uncertain. "It sat in the corner, quiet, like it was tame. Something is definitely wrong." KangIn spoke as he sat, clearly putting all his energy into making a rip.

It wasn't long till the first bone thieves arrived at the doorway. They stood a while, listening to the crackling of the flames, moving with deadly grace from one of their curved legs to the other, shifting in the air before Shiwon's eyes. They were hesitant to step through, and it made sense to Shiwon; a touch of the flame on their skinny limbs could render them incapable of their quick movement, and with that, his knife and SooYoung's hands would ensure death.

A steady stream of vampires appeared, clearly the less bright of the species, simply attempting to walk through the fires, but burned up long before they could make it to the other side. Shiwon waited, watching them carefully, eyes narrow and heart in his throat. It wouldn't be long.

But eventually, whether by the adrenaline of the chase or the promise of food, one of the bone thieves stepped through the fires, fast as a whip. Shiwon watched for a few seconds as it moved, expecting it light up, but it made it through in safety. The bone thief paused for a victorious second, and whipped its head from side to side, looking, Shiwon could feel, from himself to SooYoung. Deciding which would make the better meal, which body would be more enjoyable to steal.

It ran for Shiwon. The man swallowed and brought up his knife, his sole defense, and it was on him before he could plan any strategy, a long blade cutting through the air toward him. His own was brought up to meet it, beating it off, and he was surprised at the strength that such a frail body threw in those arms, but No time for such idiot thoughts Shiwon. The creature stumbled back in surprise, perhaps expecting an easy kill, and Shiwon did the first thing he could think of, swinging the sharp edge through it's slim midriff. The bone thief shivered suddenly, and Shiwon watched as the entire top half of the beast fell away backwards, off of its legs and to the ground, some kind of green liquid leaking from its body as it shuddered, then lay still.

If it had been any other circumstance, Shiwon would have been delighted at the fact he had survived his first encounter, but there was no time. With the first success, the others grew confident, and began sweeping through the flames. Worse, the vampires were learning quickly; they clung to the bone thieves frail bodies as they passed through the fire and, though many still began burning, many more stayed intact. Shiwon saw three bone thieves as they made their unnaturally fast toward SooYoung, and four to him, along with two vampires. Apparently he was more appetizing by majority vote. Fantastic.

He slashed through another midriff as one came at him and the others circled and it was broken through as easy. A blade came at his back and he whirled, hitting it away and cut the bone thief beneath its arms and it feel to the floor in death fits as well. They were deadly, but they were physically weak. He saw something crawling on the ground toward him, and a blade coming for his neck, and didn't hesitate, ducking and stabbing downwards at the same time. The vampire shrieked into pain and curled into a bleeding ball, but the remaining bone thief stumbled toward him and he felt the sharp edge of it's arm bite into the skin of the back of his neck. Too close.

He brought up his knife and dispatched of the third, but saw another lot already peeping through the fire to take their place. One was heading for KangIn but SooYoung cut it off. It slashed at her but she ducked and Shiwon saw a few cut hairs fly into the air, but she had already touched its skin and it too imploded, covering her more and more in their green blood. KangIn still remained on the floor but his brow was beaded with sweat; he looked more heavily put upon than his young comrades.

Shiwon sliced through another bone thief's chest without though, and then whirled to slice a vampire in mid air, then cut off the legs from beneath one of the bladed beasts and drove his knife through them on the ground. They kept coming, more bone thieves, more vampires, through the flames and Shiwon and SooYoung dispatched of them as quickly as they could, by knife or hand, interrupted them as they ran for KangIn, dealing with them as they came for themselves.

Shiwon picked up nicks and cuts as time passed but he didn't realize, he was caught up in the sudden routine of slaughter. They just kept coming. He wondered how many there were. Surely they couldn't keep this up forever. They kept killing, but there were more and more to deal with as time went on. He knew the numbers were beginning to get unmanageable, the cuts deeper and more common.

He killed another with a slash, this one with a long cut, this one with a stab. One struck out at him and he knocked it back, a position they seemed to have great difficultly recovering from. One slashed at him and he leant back, trying to avoid it as a cut, deep and painful was struck along his arm, and suddenly stumbled, on the corpse of one of them and fell to the floor. A vampire leapt on him delightedly, and Shiwon watched in horror as it mouth opened, rows of teeth about to dig into the flesh of his chest.

Then a strong hand, coming from nowhere behind him, grabbed it and Shiwon watched it whine and die at the touch, and he glanced behind him. There, at the mouth of a newly created tunnel, melted through the rock, was Geng, HeeChul and KiBum. "Thank you." he spoke to the elder Chinese man, realizing his life had just been saved by him for the second time in as many days. But there was no time for anything beyond that, as more bone thieves moved in on thew newcomers.

"Circle around KangIn" Geng commanded and the others formed one quickly, SooYoung pulling back from the mass of creatures, maybe 20 now that filled the large room with them. They were heavily outnumbered, but they fought on, and Shiwon would catch glimpses of them through the chaos; KiBum sending electricity from his fingertips, HeeChul seemingly cutting straight through the creatures with his bare hands, Geng melting and throwing fire and kicking and punching.

"KangIn?" he heard HeeChul snap through crowd. "Just a few minutes more." the older man's strained rough voice replied. Then, just as the numbers of their opponents began to fall at last, Shiwon heard a thudding, coming nearer and nearer. A steady boom that approached them, rumbling the ground at heavy intervals. Foot steps, he realized.

Then at the door a monstrous form appeared. Twice the size of a man, with burly shoulders and huge muscular arms, it was far too big for the door, but lurched forward regardless, crashing through the wall. Its head grazed the ceiling, a huge bear like figure covered in a reddish fur. The blind bear he assumed and he understood the name because rather than any head, on its chest were three large mouth slits, seemingly placed on sideways and set into the beasts muscular skin. No lips, simply long savage teeth, knashing and howling. Its long arms ended in terrible claws, browned stained white and huge.

KiBum send a burst of electricity its way, but it didn't seem to feel it. Geng through some fire but it didnt catch on the beasts fur. It lurched into a run toward them, toward Geng at the head of their group, and Shiwon's mind ran. They couldn't slow it down, and getting close would only result in a gash from those massive claws or a bite from those teeth, either of which looked deadly. They'd all die if KangIn wasn't done now. Geng was going to die regardless. His hands came up without thinking, sword still held tight in one.

A huge beam of white light hit the blind bear, right in its chest, and its mouths, and the creature howled with pain suddenly, the cries filling the room as it shuddered to a halt, trying to swat away the beam with his hands, but it did no good. It burned away at him and it screeched deeply, and keeled over backwards, shaking and convulsing as it burned, and even as the beam stopped, it shook to no end, still alive and whimpering pathetically but no longer threatening.

Shiwon looked around for the source of the light. The last of the other creatures seemed to have been dispatched, and the others stood still. Geng looked at the blind bear, then looked back at him, eyes narrowing. HeeChul was also looking at him, suspiciously. In fact the only person that wasn't looking at him was KangIn, whose one eye remained closed as he neared opening the rip. "What?" he asked uncertainly, and looked down at himself, expecting to find some vampire attached to him, and then looked, finding that where the blade in his hand had been, now was a charred, blackened and twisted piece of metal. "Oh.... Did I...?" he said slowly, half disbelievingly.

SooYoung was the only one to respond, with a quick nod. Shiwon was happy with the sudden discovery of some ability in him, some magic; now he was no dead weight. He had just killed that huge blind bear! Saved Geng's life! But the elder man certainly didn't look grateful. Just uncertain. "What's wrong?" Shi asked, frowning. "Are you that surprised that maybe I can do it too?" HeeChul rolled his eyes, snapping out of it, and KiBum shook his head. "Geng. Do you think that was-?"

"KangIn, change wherever you planned to take us." Geng spoke over HeeChul. "Are you fucking kidding me?" KangIn groaned, the exertion of the attempt at opening in the rip during battle clear in his voice. "No. We're going to see LeeTeuk. Now." He spoke bluntly and watched Shiwon like a hawk, and Shiwon shivered at the ominous sound of the name. He wondered suddenly, from that look in the other's eyes, one he was unfamiliar with, one of uncertainty, if he had done something very, very wrong.

I didn't but then.... this happened XD So my bad on that I guess. I'm counting this as part 2 of 2 even though it wasn't planned as a series.Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 10: "If You Cannot Get Rid Of The Family Skeleton, You May As Well Make It Dance" – George Bernard Shaw of my Table: Quotes.

HeeChul knew Shiwon's game. They had been friends and co-workers for too long now not to know exactly what Shiwon's intentions were. He didn't know what he had done to piss of the younger man this time, but Shiwon had accordingly saw fit to hire that incompetent idiot KiBum as his secretary.

No qualifications, no sense of respect towards members of staff senior to him, and worst of all, unfireable. Shiwon's kid cousin was supposedly a favourite of the company owner, Shiwon's father, and the overtly expressive eyebrows that Shiwon had inherited from him would be raised in HeeChul's direction. He did not need the bother.

Still, nothing would give him more pleasure than terminating the brats contract. It was the younger's entire attitude to work. HeeChul may not have always been the most diligent worker, and certainly though Shiwon was higher up in the company, he had not always been respectful, but at least they were friends, KiBum was nothing of the sort to him.

"Have you sent those files to Park Corp.?" he looked at the younger man. "I'll do it when I'm ready." Even his tone was insolent. HeeChul would have asked exactly what he was doing on his computer that stopped from sending the files then and there, but he already knew. All the younger did was laze around for a few hours, searching the net and social networks, and then left. Chul had to wonder why he was bothering to even come in at all; if it were up to him he'd pay KiBum not to come in.

To be fair, his irritation wasn't all from the younger man. He had been working a lot of longer shifts, trying to get certain mergers and work done. It didn't help that HeeChul hadn't gotten any for weeks. Shiwon may have been able to pull that shit, but then he was a frigid christian. That was like brainwashing from babyhood to be a virgin till your forties, in HeeChul's book.

The long haired man had hoped to get a little something something from the Chinese man he had hired on Shiwon's behalf as a P.A. Dancer types were usually pretty easy. But unfortunately Geng had ignored all his advances and now was apparently taken, though he wouldn't say by who.

"Start working, or I'll take this to Shiwon." he threatened offhandedly, though even if he went to Shiwon he doubted that anything would be done. Shiwon wasn't unprofessional; in any other circumstance, he'd have given KiBum a talking to, family or no family. He was usually the biggest tight ass in the office, but he was seemingly distracted of late.

Kibum knew it was a threat with no weight behind it. He looked at the elder with bored eyes and didn't even bother to respond. HeeChul tried to stare him down, and failing that, went into his office to strangle the air for a while. After that failed to satisfy him, he stormed out, not even looking at the younger, heading straight for Shiwon's office. He might not do anything about KiBum but at least HeeChul could rant to him.

HeeChul pulled the managers door open and began complaining immediately. "That cousin of yours is nothing but trouble." he spoke quickly, arms crossed, pacing the breadth of Shiwon's office. "Uh Chul...?" HeeChul acted like he hadn't heard. "He's completely insolent, and you know he gets nothing done. I have to do my own work and secretarial. Tell your father to give him work experience in some other division." he continued. "HeeCh-"

"And I mean what the fuck did you hire him for me for? You know I don't like him. What did I do to you that was so bad?" he continued. "I swear to god if I have to hear him drawl one more second I'll-" Shiwon groaned and interrupted. "HeeChul!" The elder looked at him properly for the first time and couldn't help but notice the Chinese man who was stradling Shi's lap, Shi's hands on his rear end, both of their eyebrows raised at him. Oh. Ohhh.

"Don't let me interrupt, please. I'll rant happily." HeeChul grinned, taking a seat as Shiwon shook his head and Geng laughed. "It's not the time for this HeeChul." HeeChul snorted. "No I'd say it's just about time. Has he told you how long its been since he actually had a boyfriend Geng? He's like a bear with a cracked skull when he hasn't had any. And do you know how long he was a virgin for? Waltzing around, pretending to be straight and-"

"HeeChul!" Shiwon looked ready to smack his head against the table and HeeChul tried to play innocent. "What I meant was, we're a little busy ... in the middle of something. Do you mind?"

"No." HeeChul shook his head. A few seconds passed. ".... as in, not in the room, please?" The penny dropped. "Oh, oh, my bad. Sorry. I'll just...." Heechul grinned as he walked out, closing the door slowly behind him and looking back at the pair. "Are you two going to fuck? Because from personal experience, these office tables just can't handle that kind of-"

"HeeChul!" The elder man grinned as he closed the door behind him, and heard a voice with a Chinese accent ask Shiwon as he left: "So how long were. you a virgin for?". HeeChul chuckled evilly to himself, rubbing his hands together. No wonder Shiwon was so distracted recently. Good for him, he supposed.

But this solved none of his problems. He frowned as he came back to his office and that stupidly handsome face smirked at him. "Shiwon not coming to give me a talking to?" Kibum grinned. "Shut up." HeeChul snapped back, entering his office. He blinked as the younger man followed him in. "What do you think you're doing? You're not allowed in here unless I say so."

"My uncle owns the building;I'm pretty sure I'm allowed in here." KiBum shrugged. "You're trying to irritate me." HeeChul frowned at him. "Can't help that it's the only fun in this building." the younger man shrugged.

"Get out of my office." HeeChul sighed deeply. "Nope." KiBum said with a smile, getting right up HeeChul's face and personal space. "Now." HeeChul looked at him threateningly, breathing the same air. "Make me." KiBum snorted. "I will." HeeChul's eyes became narrow, looking angrily into the younger's eyes.

Then KiBum's lips pecked his, and the younger grinned as if he had won. HeeChul went off on one. "You complete little fuck. How dare you? Why would you even do that? What possible reason could you have to do that? Do you get off making me angry? Is that what this is? Little ignorant piece of shit."

KiBum shrugged. "Yeah, basically. Like I said, you're the only fun thing in this place." HeeChul blinked a few times. Then pounced on the younger. It had been far, far too long since he had had angry sex, HeeChul deciuded as KiBum bit down on his neck and ripped his shirt open simultaneously.

Time to check if the stability of these office tables had improved since last time.

Vampire

Title: Vampire
Chapter: 6
Pairing: N/A still. One day though.
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1921
Warnings: Horror AU and the like.
Notes: This chapter feels a bit shaky so sorry if it's not up to standard. Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 3: Vampire of my Table: Horror.

When Shiwon came through the rip and found himself in one piece for more than a minute, he breathed a sigh of relief. Somehow he had expected them to be greeted by a cavalcade of bone eaters, quick and deadly, eager to rip through their stomachs. KangIn had held a finger to his lips as Shiwon had appeared in this world and Geng ahd hurriedly closed the hole behind them and then they stood, waiting. From the look on the other's faces this was standard procedure so Shiwon took in the surroundings in silence.

Where they were exactly, he was unsure. It looked like some sort of room, bare but for a few dark green and red mosses off to the corner. The walls were made of some deep dark black material, rough looking and poking out unevenly. It didn't seem to be set in any sort of brick or plaster, nor carved; the entire surface seemed a natural growth.

He wondered for a moment, if they had found themselves back home, where they had come from but there was an air to the place, an atmosphere that suggested otherwise. And as he inhaled his first breath, he half coughed and drew hard looks from Geng. There was a staleness and dust in the air. The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end; wherever they were wasn't Earth, he knew for sure.

After a few more silent moments, KangIn nodded. "He's here." he spoke softly. "Way off to the right somewhere. Ever been here Geng?" The foreign man looked around the walls appraisingly, then shook his head. "Right. Careful everyone then. You two-" he indicated HeeChul and KiBum, "-take the back. Geng, you up front with me?" Shiwon couldn't help but wonder why the scarred traveller seemingly deferred to Geng; and whether there was some sort of hierarchy system within the people out here. But as Geng nodded his ascent, Shiwon realized these were the kind of curious thoughts he should be avoiding. Full concentration, he told himself.

Geng moved toward the walls of the room and it was only then that Shiwon noticed the places clear design flaw; it possessed no door for exiting. Blinking, he checked the room again but saw no obvious means of leaving, till Geng pressed one palm flat against the stone around them. And the wall melted away. The others seemed unimpressed by this but to Shiwon it was another miracle the likes of which he had never seen. As the others passed through the newly created threshold, Shiwon looked for a few moments at the space amazed, then carried on.

In the hallways outside they headed off to the right, a brisk but careful pace. The other's steps seemed completely silent to his own and he cursed his heavy footedness. The corridors were seemingly quiet, lit to the sides and overhead by seemingly luminous lichen. The other's eyes seemed to stay focused on the walls ahead of them and the long halls in front of them and Shiwon followed suit. He could hear his heart in his ears, stomach lurching dangerously as they moved. He didn't know what to expect but he was somehow sure that it wasn't going be good.

They came to a junction. Two paths led off from their own, standing there for a few moments, KangIn looking down both areas, frowning. Then, with a sigh, the one eyed man shook his head. "Impossible to tell which way." he grimaced. "Split up?" he suggested, looking at Geng and the other man nodded. Shiwon swallowed. Wasn't that the line that usually preceded screaming and death in horror movies.

"Shiwon, Sooyoung you come with me." KangIn flicked his fingers at them and without another word, moved away down the corridor, SooYoung taking his order straight away. Shiwon cast a glance at the other group, watching their backs disappear into the dark and then followed. As they moved, KangIn slipped something into his hand in the dark. Shiwon looked down to find a long blade, slightly bigger than a butcher's knife perhaps. "Just in case you're a dud. It might not be much help but could be the difference between death and one of us saving your ass." Shiwon nodded thankfully and gripped the knife tightly.

They had been travelling down that corridor in relative silence when up ahead, they could hear movement and could see a light off at the end of the black tunnel. Shiwon heard faint whispers suddenly, familiar, not from that direction but from within his own ears, hairs standing up on the back of his neck at the sound.

KangIn turned to them, pointing to himself and then pointing down the corridor. His meaning was clear; he was to check it out alone, and he left the younger two behind swiftly, Shiwon looked at SooYoung, who looked back at him. "Better to move back a bit. Bone thieves have good hearing." she spoke, and Shiwon could hear the quavering in her voice. It was some kind of comfort to know he wasn't the only one scared.

They moved back only a short distance and silence resumed between them. The atmosphere restricted any sort of an attempt at conversation. Instead Shiwon moved quietly around the space as SooYoung sat, feeling restless. His eyes traced along the dark black walls, mapping out the odd curvatures and the rough bumps, reaching out a hand to touch it for a moment. Odd. It felt warm. It was all the same though, until he noticed something, a touch further off, something glistening that caught his eye.

Walking to it, he frowned carefully at the ruddy dark blotches that marred the otherwise pure blackness of the walls. They were bleeding. The walls were bleeding. His eyes narrowed, breathing quickening a touch and he heard the whispers again, and a faint clicking, off to his side. He looked over but there was nothing there but SooYoung, several metres away. Groaning, he chastised himself mentally. Get some control and some nerve Shiwon.

But as he turned back, the bloody patches were gone. Nothing but smooth warm stone again. Shiwon ran a hand through his hair. Was he imagining things, or was this just an oddity of these outer places? He made a note to ask the other's later when they were in safer circumstances. He felt a shiver run down his back and reached around a hand to scratch it.

"Don't move." SooYoungs voice came suddenly and he turned his head to look at her, staring at him wide eyed. "Wha-?" She shook her head. "Don't move, not so much as tilting your head. There's a vampire on your back." Shiwon suddenly had the image of pale, ancient man huddled on his back, ready to sink his teeth into his neck, but knew the other could only mean worse. "What do I-?"

"Just stay still. It's only curious for your scent; it doesn't know if you're a host yet." Shiwon could only fathom what the girl meant but froze completely, even holding his hands still in mid motion of scratching his back, trying not to shiver as he was sure he felt something slimy brush against it. It was all in his head, he hoped.

And then he saw it. Trailing along the ground, like a giant millipede behind her was, presumably, what was called a vampire by these people. It was a giant insect; around the size of a terrier, several thin legs working underneath it to carry it along the ground in a smooth, steady fashion, and it's body curled and undulated as it moved. It's body was segmented in round, deep purple hued bulbs, pressed together tightly. At it's head, or what Shiwon presumed was it's head, as it led the body, was a sharp point, with four dark orbs on stalks which Shiwon presumed to be eyes. The exact same structure existed on it's back.

"There's one behind you." he whispered, and SooYoung stiffened. "Damn. Damn." her voice was worried as she weighed up her option, looking behind her to see it approaching but not moving. "Can't you run?" Shiwon asked. "Vision based on movement. KiBum warned me. I don't know what to do. Shit." She bit her lip and Shiwon could see deep fear in her eyes. "Can't you... blast him or something?" he said hurriedly, watching it snake toward her.

"If I do, the other will react. It'll bite you. If I try and get the one on your back first, the other will jump for me." Shiwon didn't even want to think about what the results of that would be, and he could see no obvious means of biting but he didnt want to find out how it did. "We're dead. Oh fuck." He saw her legs shiver, as if about to give out, and the vampires head raised in interest off the ground, giving Shiwon a view of the thousands on legs it stood on.

His free hand, the one still by his side, gripped the knife for comfort, and he thought desperately. He was certain he felt something touch his neck, and he suppressed the urge to shake at the touch. "If you get the one on my back, I could get that one before he jumps you." he said, and he was in no way certain but he kept his voice steady for the other's sake, as the head went back down and it sped up it's movements towards them. "I... I..."

"If we do nothing we're probably screwed anyways right." SooYoung looked at him, clenching her teeth and then let a whispered "On three" escape her. "One." Shiwon's hand gripped around his blade. "Two." He could see SooYoung tensing, ready and waiting for whatever method she intended to get this thing off his back. "Three!"

It happened too fast for Shiwon to possibly comprehend, but he assumed that was the girls magic, suddenly, she was at his side, grabbing something off his back, and the other vampire was in the air, heading for her. The creature she had pulled from Shi writhed and glowed in her hand, and Shiwon saw the jumping ones mouth open, the long points at it's head and bottom cracking ajar, row after row of vicious, tiny teeth running as far down it's throat as he could see. The one in SooYoung's hand exploded into pieces and Shiwon brought up his blade, only just as the vampire came within inches of SooYoung's back, and it chopped straight through the vicious insect.

Shiwon looked in shock as the two pieces fell to the floor, still writhing, both trying to get back to their feet pathetically. SooYoung wasn't taking any chances. Careful to avoid their mouths, she grabbed their cut ends and did the same thing she did to the first, and they exploded into pieces in her hands, but not before one could let out a long, loud, clicking shriek.

For a few seconds, they breathed heavily, and then they looked up as a rumble built at the other end of the corridor. They made out the figure of a man, running, fire in his hands, throwing it haphazardly over his shoulder in the darkness, where something, or somethings moved, clickings and roars filling the air. The shriek had alerted them of their presence.

"Too many." KangIn spoke as he reached them, the firey halos blistering hot, shaking his head and motioning for them to come quickly. "We run."

Suits

Title: Suits
Chapters: 1/2
Pairing: ShiHan, KiChul
Rating: R
Word Count: 1333
Warnings: Sexings and language.
Notes: Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 2: Grass of my Table: Slash/Femslash .

Shiwon groaned. HeeChul had to be playing some kind of prank on him. This was cruel.

He watched his new personal assistant. A foreigner by the name of Han Geng. Incredibly efficient, fast with all his tasks, had Shiwon's schedule arranged down to a tee and had even found him fourty minutes a day to add on to his break without losing any working time, somehow. But that wasn't really what Shiwon was interested in.

He was soft spoken, but not in that boring quiet way, but in that mysterious, oh-so-sexy way. The kind of voice that can take off your clothes in a few syllables, if the older man was so inclined to make you do so. His resumé stated he was a dancer. Shiwon loved dancers. (He couldn't dance, but he loved watching it.) He had that little accent, and the sparkle in his eyes and despite his business prowess and his very attractive form, acted with humbleness and innocence.

Shiwon wanted him. Badly.

It was like HeeChul had picked the man especially to be a constant pain in Shiwon's ass because he couldn't possibly make a move on someone that was employed under him. The possibilities of a sexual harassment claim were a god damn bitch. So he had gotten on with it to begin with.

But it had started distracting him from his work. During meetings he'd be distracted as Geng tipped back his head, drinking tea or water and draining the last drops from his cup, and Shiwon would watch as his Adam's apple moved, salivating privately. Looking over sheets and sheets of business figures, he'd look up to find the elder nibbling those soft pink lips and he would groan privately to himself.

He was by no means an easy person; he hadn't even dated for a few months, let alone got some, but Chul had managed to hire Shiwon's definition of sex on legs, and his libido approved.

That was it. Next time Chul fired his own P.A., which was never far off, his was replacing him with that KiBum boy, even if he no qualifications. See how Rella liked it.

What a great pair of trousers. he noted offhandedly to himself as the other bent over, Shiwon tilting his head slightly to get a better look. Never before had he been so grateful for someone dropping some files, nor had he been so grateful for a well fitted pair of suit pants. Geng did a lot of that, dropping files. Maybe his only flaw, slight clumsiness with his hands. Not that Shi was complaining.

I wonder.... born that well endowed or from dancing. he considered, rubbing a hand on his knee as he swallowed. It wasn't fair. He should have never have gone drinking with HeeChul; describing his perfect partner to the sneakiest person he knew seemed like a bad idea in retrospect.

Geng left the files off at another employees desk and Shiwon watched him go, nibbling the end of his pen, and then looking away innocently as the Chinese man turned around, focusing instead on his computer screen. "Happy with the company website?" a soft voice said, and Shiwon wondered what that voice would sound like when it was louder. And moaning. Against his skin."... Sir?"

"Hmm?" Shiwon shook his head, coming out of his thoughts and appraising the website again. "Any comments you'd like me to send the designers?" Geng asked. "Uh... company names needs to be bigger." Shiwon said, scratching his temple. "Bigger?" Geng took note on his blackberry. "Bigger and longer." Shiwon nodded, letting his fingers moved to his forehead.

"Headache?.... You need some fresh air. Go ahead, it's near the end of the day anyway." Geng smiled and quirked his head away towards the elevator as he moved back to his own desk. Shiwon looked at him, exhaling wearily and shaking his head. "Go sir. You've been distracted all day." Maybe if you dressed in looser pants I wouldn't have that problem. Shiwon thought, looking at the other and then nodding. "Fine. But come with me?"

"I suppose. We could organize your schedule for the next week." Geng was all business all the time, it seemed, for his occasional attempts to look after his boss. Shiwon wondered vaguely if he ever let loose.

Ten minutes outside in the park and two ice creams later, it seemed Geng had no interest in anything but his job as he went on and on about slotting in the various meetings and jobs Shiwon had to do into his blackberry, ice cream in his other hand. Shiwon had even had to bully him into getting that, trying to get the elder socializing instead, but he was about to realize he would regret it as he watched Geng pause, tongue drawing along the the half melted vanilla cone, slowly, sweeping the half solid half white liquid into the other's mouth.

Fuck.

"So you see, if we do the meeting SM on Thursday you'll be able to take off thirty minutes of Friday." Geng explained after he had swallowed. "Mhhm." Shiwon stepped off the path and the other followed him, barely paying attention to where they were going because of his focus on the scheduling. "And then you've got to look over the figures for the groups own bran products; I think they've been doing pretty well from what I hear the other's saying but you'll want to be sure." Geng continued, eyes focusing on the silvery screen. "Yep." Shiwon pushed passed some bushes, judging that this was as good an area as any for shielding from the public.

"Shiwon are you listening to-" Geng walked through the bushes and frowned, looking down and then around him. "Where are we?" Shiwon approached the elder, grinning. "Somewhere we can get down to business." He grabbed the ice cream from his hand and threw it off to one side, and then the blackberry to the other.

Geng looked after it, eyes shocked. "What did you do that f-oh-oh- ... oh." Geng's head tilted back as Shiwon attacked his neck, kissing and biting in equal measures, a few weeks of suppressed lust coming to the fore. Right now he really didn't care if this got the company in trouble; totally worth it.

"We-we shouldn't. You're my... boss." Geng spoke as Shiwon pushed his back to a tree. "Nope. Fucking you here and now. You're too hot. Sorry." Shiwon brought his lips from the others skin and spoke quickly as his fingers fumbled at Geng's belt. Geng looked at him for a moment then grinned. "I wondered how many times I was gonna have to drop files. Its about time is all I can say." Gengs lips met his own and his tongue slipped into Shiwon's mouth and oh god, Shiwon groaned into them, hands slipping in to those tight trousers to caress at that primary object of his desire and then they tumbled to the ground...

After a few positions and insane amounts of pleasure, it was quite a while later when Shiwon was kissing softly at those hard bitten areas on Han's neck, hands still very much possessive on Geng's behind as the other began to button up his shirt, most of the way through re-dressing each other. "Mm~ You're getting a raise tomorrow." he spoke into the other's skin, grinning." Geng laughed a little. "Not a prostitute. Don't have to pay for me." He said, quirking an eyebrow.

"I know. But you have to buy another suit... sorry about the grass stains by the way." Shiwon wiggled his eyebrows back. "And, you'll need something nice when I take you out to dinner on Saturday." Geng chuckled and nodded as he slipped the knot upwards on Shi's tie, putting it carefully in place. "Mm~ Yes sir Mister Choi." He kissed him again and Shiwon noted he even loved the sweet tangy flavour of his lips.

He'd have to send a thank you card to HeeChul, he supposed.

Aliens

Title: Aliens
Pairing: KangTeuk, ShiHan, ninja!Haeliens
Rating: PG
Word Count: 489
Warnings: Random, cracky fluff.
Notes: Sigh :( How I wish the vast majority of fics I'm producing for this weren't so bad. Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 1: Aliens Made Them Do It of my Table: Sci-Fi .

DongHae entered the kitchen in the early hours, stroking his chin thoughtfully. LeeTeuk and KangIn were already there, making breakfast, the rest of the members still in bed. He supposed he should ask umma; this was a mystery for sure and Teukie knew about all sorts of things.

"Umma?"

"Yes DongHae?"

DongHae looked around conspiritorially, like there was something he wasn't sure he should say, like maybe it was meant to be a secret. He came in closer to Teuk, whispering in his ear, as the elder man buttered some toast.

"I saw Hannie and Wonnie in bed together and well.... they were kissing and stuff."

A deep blush came in to the innocent member's cheeks and Teuk looked at KangIn, moving the plate of toast on to the tray. The younger man shrugged, then looked at Hae, asking him to elaborate.

"So?"

"So.... Appa, why where they kissing?"

"Why were they.....?"

"Kissing. Boys and girls kiss.... unless.... is Han gege a girl?"

The shock of some great realization came on DongHae's face as KangIn laughed and Teukie shook his head, grinning.

"No no, HanKyung is a boy."

"..... oh my god, Shiwon?!"

DongHae looked even more surprised and KangIn's laughter only increased. Teuk patted the boys head, smiling and picking up the tray.

"No no, Hae. They're both boys."

"Well.... then why would they be kissing?"

Teuk looked at KangIn, frowning, and KangIn scratched his head. Neither man wanted to be the one to have this conversation with the younger, and there was a brief silence till Youngwoon spoke, in an answer that sounded more like a suggestion.

"..... aliens?"

"Aliens?!"

Hae said, mouth falling open in surprise.

"Aliens. Aliens made them do it."

Teuk said, nodding, deciding that would suffice till someone mustered up the courage to sit the man boy down and discuss the facts of life with him. He picked up his tray, promptly leaving the room, heading back to his bedroom.

"Wow..... !Why would aliens make them do that?"

"Aliens are strange like that Hae."

"Wow !"

"But you can't talk to them about it, alright? Because if the aliens find out you know, they might get angry."

"Angry?"

Hae's eyes widened. KangIn nodded, getting up from his chair and approaching the other, arms going up above his head, wiggling his fingers.

"Sure. They'll come for you, with their big giant tentacles, and their three mouths and seven eyes, and they'll-"

"KangIn!"

Teuks voice came from the hall and KangIn sighed, arms falling back down by his sides, looking at Hae's only moderately scared face and knowing he could have terrified the boy out of his skin. Oh well, there was always next time. He followed the elder out of the room, but not before turning to Hae and winking as he went back to breakfast in bed with one final statement.

"Oh and Hae... if you ever see me and Teukie kissing, aliens did that too."

Beauty

Title: Beauty
Pairing: ShiHan
Rating: PG
Word Count: 455
Warnings: Fluff, romance
Notes: Random drabble that doesn't really go anywhere >> Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 9: Beauty of my Table: Unthemed 8 .

He watches the other in the half light that creeps through the curtains of their bedroom window. Their bedroom window. He likes that. Their window, their bedroom, their bed, their duvet. That's something he'll get used to, he's sure, but for now the possessive elates him.

It's only the slightest part of the dawn light, only enough to illuminate the younger's features. There's a soft sheen from his hair. Geng can make out his soft, perfect skin, his cheekbones and even the vague impression of a dimple.

He can make out the curve of Shiwon's jaw, the flat of his nose, the soft, full pouty form of his lips that are curved into a gentle smile. He wonders is the younger dreaming, or is he sharing in the sheer simple pleasure of spending the night together, even in his sleep.

Shiwon's arms are curved tightly around his waist, so much so he can't really move away, but he likes that. He own arms hold the other back, hands tracing down the plains of Shi's back. Their legs are inter-tangled too; he's as physically wrapped up in the other as he is emotionally.

He leans in to the younger's neck, leaving the softest kiss to his neck and breathing in his scent. How many nights had he wished he could do that? Maybe it wasn't technically their first night together, but it was their first night together, and that was far more important.

"...hyung?" the voice isn't much more than a whisper in his ear but it soothes him to hear it, even if it's unexpected. "I'm sorry... did I wake you?" he speaks softly back into the younger's ear, leaving a kiss to the intimate area there too, and Shiwon sighs softly.

"No, no... haven't you slept?" The younger held him closer, so protective, and Geng smiled. "No. How could when I could stay up and watch you sleep?" His hands caress at the small of the other's back. "Ah hyung... that's not good. You should sleep."

But Geng can hear the smile in Shiwon's voice without even looking at his face, and knows he's flattered. "Don't worry. I waited years to hold you like this... just go back to sleep" Shiwon feels a soft kiss on his lips, only momentary, but feels so blissful inside that he goes silent, not moving and acting like he had fallen back to sleep.

But in truth, he was just the same as the elder. Their first night together, he couldn't possibly sleep through. Instead he stays awake, listening to the sound of the other's heartbeat, feeling his warm form close to his own and knowing he wanted to spend every night from now on, just like this.

Run

Title: Run
Pairing: ShiHan
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 6083
Warnings: Angst, AU Fic
Notes: Long!Fic but quality isn't how I hoped, I think. Dedicated to inheritable. Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by the song Run by Leona Lewis and by Prompt 2 of my Table: AU .

Of all of the people that Shiwon had possibly thought could ever run away from the battle they faced, he would not have predicted that Segeant Han would be the one to do it. And yet here he was, with his arm wrapped around Shiwon's shoulders, leaning on him for support as they made their way through the forested area. Shiwon had never thought it possible, but then he had never foreseen himself being the one to run either.

He didn't regret it, though he was sure he would feel guilty for it. He had thought he could handle it, but he couldn't. Faces disappearing from his squad daily. Young men, with entire lives ahead of them, just gone. The violence they faced, the sound of bullets and the noise, oh god the noise of the shells as they flew overhead, screaming down as they ripped through the air unstoppably till they hit the ground and exploded, dirt and torn bodies thrown into the air alike. He had seen too much death, too much spilt blood over this already. He had only be at the front a few days but he could not take anymore. He had turned tail and fled, towards this forest, praying that no enemy soldier (or even one of his comrades) would take it upon themselves to put a bullet between the shoulder blades of a man deserting.

The sounds of warfare had begun to fade into the background but it was still close enough to cause concern; they're weren't clear of the danger yet. Even then Shiwon had no clue what to do; desertion wasn't taken kindly to by the towns nearby that were friendly to his side, and trying to move around in the enemy's territory didn't bear thinking about.

What he hadn't expected was, as he entered the outskirts of the trees, was the hand of the man beside him gripping at his ankle, nearly tripping him as he hurried. Sergeant Han, the man in charge of his company, had been lying spread eagled on the muddy ground, pain clear on his face, and he had said nothing, but Shiwon knew what had brought him out here, so far off from the attack.

He didn't shame the other by asking or saying it out loud, and when the Sergeant had asked him, in a rough gasped out voice "Where do you think you're going?" he didn't answer. Instead, he had hoisted the other up, supported him to help him walk and had kept going.

As they entered a clearing, Shiwon slowed, sighing and listening behind him to the sounds of the ongoing battle. It seemed farther away, but if it was a safe distance he didn't know. (He wasn't even sure if there was such thing as a safe distance. For all he knew an enemy force could be moving through the forest right now to take his comrades from behind, or there could be scouts out here to prevent that very thing, who would have no problem in shooting a few deserters.) But he knew he couldn't partially carry the elder much longer without a break and from the sound of the other's laboured breathing, he could do with one too.

He let the other down gently on the ground, letting his back lean against a tree, then sat opposite him, taking his canister from his side and taking a drink of the half warm water inside, only then realizing the dryness of his mouth and throat. Instinct made him want to down the whole thing but he refrained; there might be some fresh water streams nearby but he didn't want to take the risk of going without water.

Then he held it out, offering it to the elder and he accepted it wordless, still breathing heavily, sweat beading on his forehead, face still scrunched up in pain. As the Sergeant drank, Shiwon took the opportunity to look at his injury, taking the other's foot with his hands and carefully rolling up his superior's khaki pants. There, he saw the bullet wound and flinched, looking away for a moment and taking a breath. Then he looked more carefully around the area and saw, lodged not to deep in, a dark glimmer of metal coated in red.

It would have to be removed, now. He looked back up at the other who was watching him. He took the water, poured some of it over the hole in the other's skin to clear away the blood. In his pocket, he took out a Swiss army knife, flicking open the blade. Then, he reached out one hand to take a grip of his Sergeant's, or rather his ex-Sergeant's, as his knife hovered over the wound. "Trust me." he spoke softly, and once Han had nodded, he let the long sharp blade descend into the cut, and Han gripped his finger's tightly as he let out a yell of pain.

-----

They moved further through the woods. It had been a day since they had run. Shiwon wanted to carry the elder on his back, but Han stubbornly continued to hobble on one leg, only begrudgingly accepting the balance and support that Shi offered. The younger had cleaned his wound up as best as he could, trying not to use too much water but wanting to be sure to clean it properly as well, and then had wrapped in a bandage from his kit, keeping it tight with a safety pin.

Shiwon wondered what a man like him had been doing heading away from the violence. Of all the Sergeants that Shiwon and his squad had heard of, Han had the reputation for being the coldest and hardest. He showed no mercy toward recruits. He didn't take any insolence or insubordination. His aim with a gun was flawless, his hands were quick and he had seen more than his fair share of violence in the war. Yet here he was with Shiwon, running scared.

Night was falling, so Shiwon let the other drop to the ground carefully. Rummaging in his bag quickly, Shiwon pulled out two cans of rations, just some old beans that were precooked and edible (though not palatable) cold. He opened it with his knife and handed it to the other, checking his bag again to fetch them some spoons. They ate in silence.

He watched as the other rolled to his side, seemingly ready to fall asleep then and there. Shiwon lay down beside him, back to Han's, and from his pack he pulled an old blanket, thin and grey, probably not much use against the cold out in the open on these Winter nights, but it was better than nothing. He draped it over the two of them.

It wasn't long into the night, when Shiwon was still awake, that he began to feel the other's body shaking. The cold was getting to the injured man. Shiwon would hear his teeth chattering, then every so often they would stop as if Han had noticed what they were doing and had clenched his teeth, only to let them start up again a few minutes. Shiwon wished he could light a fire; the other needed heat, especially with his wound, but a fire would only produce light and smoke, and that could only draw attention.

Instead, he did the next best thing. Turning his body, he let one arm fall over Han as his other slipped under, holding him carefully. The ex-Sergeant's breathing hitched. "What do you think you're doing?" Shiwon realized that this was the same thing as the last time Han had talked to him and didn't respond. "What do you think you're doing soldier? You'll respect the person of your senior you li-"

"Stop it." Shiwon interrupted, speaking softly. "We're not in the war anymore. No more ranks." He let his body mold around the other's, to share his body heat as best he could, arms tightening a touch around the other's lithe frame. He wasn't as imposing, suddenly, when Shiwon felt how skinny he was. "We're always at war. There's.... I'm your superior and....." whatever protest the other was trying to formulate seemed to die there and Shiwon let it slip away, if it meant the other relented as accepted what warmth he could offer. The shivering ended quickly.

He had to try and help the other, however he could. Not just from his own kindness either, but because the ex-Sergeant knew the layout of this land and the language and the people. If they had any chance of survival past the borders of this forest, Han was it. Shiwon would not let that chance slip away.

-----

It had been three days before they finally breached the subject of them having left. Shiwon wasn't sure why he had brought it up exactly. Maybe just to break the long silences between them that consisting only of the sounds of the forest and the occasional grunt of pain or tiredness from the other that Shiwon used as markers for when they would break, though he didn't think the other knew it.

"Why did you run?" he asked softly as the other leaned on him and they walked, looking at the ex-Sergeant. Han's eye's stayed trained ahead, and with no answer forthcoming, Shiwon decided to ask again. "Han, why did you run?" The other's features tightened. "I am Sergeant or Sergeant Han to you solider, any more of that and...." "You'll what? Report me? Have me disciplined? I think the military will be more interested in desertion than insubordination, honestly."

He didn't say it meanly; he wasn't trying to be cruel, but rather just to bring the other into reality. Clinging on to titles and military rules wasn't going to help them in any way, shape or form.

After a few more minutes of silence as they continued to move, broken only by the light cough the ex-Sergeant had, Shiwon spoke. "I couldn't take the violence. Just all that ... the death. So many young boys, too young. You know? Not going back to their mothers...." He bit his lip. He spoke in past tense and he really didn't know why; the war was still happening even if he was few miles away from it. "Well... that's why I left anyway."

He got no response from the other as they hobbled onward, Shiwon taking the other carefully over a fallen log, and after a minute more deciding that a rest was overdue, leaving Han on a soft patch of moss. Han sat, looking pensive for a few moments before he spoke at last. ".... it's difficult." he said simply, in a quiet agreement with the other's words, and though it wasn't much, it was enough to satisfy the younger that some progress was being made.

-----

With that wall broken, they slowly came to speak properly, short conversations, simple things. It was over the next few days that they came to know more about each other, little things, facts and vitals that passed the time as they walked and took breaks. They never broached the subject of Han leaving again, but while Shi was curious, he knew it wasn't something it was necessary for him to know.

Han Geng was his full name. Shiwon had been surprised to find out that he was 24 years old; he seemed so much older and wiser to Shiwon's eyes. An only child, two parents. He had been in Korea, studying (though what Shiwon hadn't yet found out) when the declaration came. He had been drafted but he came without bitterness. There was much suspicion of him initially as a foreigner (and Shiwon got the impression that perhaps, some kind of military abuse for the fact had taken place) but eventually he was accepted as just being another one of the ranks. He spoke modestly, stating his rise in the ranks was more casualties in the war than any ascension based on his own skill.

In return, Shiwon told him about himself. 21 years old, training in business to inherit his father's company, living at home, one sister. He had come into the military voluntarily after a few years. "My parents bought my way out of the draft." he explained. "I didn't realize till last year, and then I signed up." Han seemed somewhat impressed with that.

Resting underneath the leafy growth of an impressive oak that night, Han spoke softly a few minutes after they had lain down, Shiwon's arms rested around him, though the shivering didn't seem to subside as easily. "When I was in college, back before the war..." his voice was hesitant, as it normally was. He still seemed incapable of talking openly, and Shiwon wondered if perhaps he just wasn't the trusting type.

"Hmm?" he prompted him. "I've dance all my life. Since I was little. Traditional and ballet and.... I was on a dance scholarship." he explained slowly, as Shiwon took in this information. Of all the things he had thought the other might have been, a dancer had not been one of them. "Do you think.....?"

Shiwon waited a few moments. "Yes?" Han turned around to look at him as they lay together, eyes uncertain, biting his lip. "Do you think .... my leg. It'll be okay?" he asked. Shiwon nodded almost immediately as he heard the question. If he was perfectly honest he wasn't sure; he had no medical training, but it was far better to keep the elder's hopes up. "It.... looks all riight?"

Shiwon wondered a moment at the sight of the other. In his time in the army and on the battlefield, he had never seen the other look or act any way unconfident, but this was clearly something that meant more to him than the airs of military rank. It was humanizing; Sergeant Han may have been cool and steely with men below him, but he was still just a man himself. A man who had his worries and fears, and who had run, just like Shiwon.

The younger took in the soft worry in his eyes, the slight tremble in his lips, the soft shakes of his body, and nodded again. "I think it looks fine. It wasn't too deep. You'll dance again when this is all over." Geng sighed softly, and Shiwon wasn't sure if it was relief but he hoped so, and he closed his eyes. Shiwon watched him for a moment. His face was so pale, he realized. He wondered if perhaps he had lost much blood, too much blood, over the time they'd been moving through the forest. He hoped not. Then he held him tighter and closed his own.

-----

Shiwon looked out at the trees as he sat, waiting for the other to regain his breath. They had taken a few sips of water each; it was running low, a problem which would have to be confronted soon, but for now it was for a different day. He knew he should be focusing on the now, on getting out of here and what they should do next, but his mind lingered on the battlefield and the people he had left behind ...

"I'm a coward, amn't I?" he said aloud, and Han looked over at him, eyes slightly surprised and Shiwon looked back. "So many other people are still back there ... people my age and younger. Still fighting and dying. None of them ran off. Even though their reasons for doing so would be just the same as mine." The thoughts troubled him; he couldn't help but feel guilty. He knew there was no going back now; it was far too late for that, but some small part of him said it was only right that he should.

Geng watched him a while, then shook his head. "You could say that. I'm sure they will, if they find us." he coughed into his hand a moment, then continued. "But you're not the first person who left the military because they couldn't stomach it" Shiwon wondered privately if Han's reason was the same as his own but dismissed the thought; the elder had been in the military longer than he had, and seen more battles.

"When you told me, you didn't say your reasoning was because you were afraid of dying or getting injured..." Han sounded as if he was contemplating this as he spoke. "You said you hated the violence, and seeing young people killed. In part you left to not have to see that any more, and that is selfish and cowardly." Geng nodded, and Shiwon's face became a touch sadder.

"But ... also, I think you left because you disagree with the principle of this war, that young people would have to die for it. Like your own protest against it. You knew there would be consequences for leaving, maybe just as bad as staying but... that didn't stop you. Your own belief was that this shouldn't happen, and you stood up for that by leaving. That's brave in a way, I think."

Shiwon took in the other's words, forehead creasing as he understood the other's reasoning. If he was honest, he wasn't sure he felt any better about it, but it was something at least that the elder didn't condemn him completely for it. "Don't guilt yourself Shiwon. There are people who have done far worse things. Some people just have too much kindness in them for war." Geng spoke softly to him again, and Shiwon looked up and smiled softly. "Too kind?"

"I could tell the whole way through your training. Soft. But kind. Some people aren't cut out for it, emotionally, simply because they're too good a person." Geng nodded, as if convinced this was the truth, and Shiwon smiled a little to himself. Even if the other only said it to be nice, it did make him feel a little better. A little pick up. That was all he needed for now.

-----

"We're out of water." Shiwon spoke as he changed the other's bandage, careful not to draw any further pain on the elder. Han watched him, nodding and biting his lip. "I think I have maybe one or two sips left in my canteen. Then...." Geng shrugged. Shiwon sighed and scratched his nose. "There has to be a stream around here somewhere. Do you want to wait here? I could go look in the area, see if there's anything. Wouldn't take too long and you could rest."

He honestly believed the other needed it. There didn't seem to be any improvement in his condition. But Geng shook his head. "I'm fine. I'll help you look." "But surely it won't matter. I'll need to keep you with me, we won't be able to cover anymore ground than I would alone." Han frowned at him. "I'll go alone. We'll cover twice as much ground, and meet back up here in twenty minutes if you go east and I go west."

"Don't be unreasonable. You're not in any state to go on your own." Shiwon pinned his new bandage shut, throwing the muddied older one off to the side. "I'm fine." Han was defiant, struggling to his feet on his own as Shiwon watched, and the younger shook his head. Shiwon tilted his head unhappily, then relented. "Please be careful. I don't want for you to get hurt." Han paused and nodded, at they stood looking at one another for a moment, then he began to hobble off.

After a few moments watching his back, Shiwon turned and walked the opposite direction, travelling through the woods, listening out for the sound of running water. He set no definite direction; wandering was as good as anything else in this situation and he had no worry about getting lost. Part of their training had been mapping out places like this in his mind. He was certain he could travel at least a couple of hundred metres away from that clearing before he found himself unable to find his way back.

As he walked and looked, he though about Geng. The elder's sheer stubbornness was almost as admirable as it was stupid, but Shiwon knew he couldn't move him on this. He had eyes like steel, something his father had taught him to watch out for. The sign of a good business man, someone who could stand their ground so solidly. When this was all over, he'd make sure the other had a job outside of his dancing, if he needed it.

They had become friends now, he supposed. Or the closest he had had in.... quite a while. In the military, he knew no one had any problem with him, but neither did he feel there was any one he trusted, or who trusted him back. Before that, the business college was a competition in itself; no room for friendships. The elder he trusted, and though it was trust brought on more by necessity than anything else, it was a real trust. He was comfortable with him.

After a while, he estimated it had been almost twenty minutes and headed back to his starting point. Geng wasn't there. He waited another few minutes, what felt something like an age, and the other still didn't reappear. He chewed the inside of his cheek. He should have been back by now, surely, injury or no. The image of the other lying somewhere out in the forest, unable to move sprung into his mind and he had to go search for him.

Moving through the trees, Shiwon found his mouth drying and he wondered whether it was from thirst or worry."Han?" his voice echoed out around him. If someone was nearby, then calling for him would only cause trouble, but they hadn't seen anyone for days. Shiwon was willing to take the risk. "Han?" there was no response as he stumbled over a log. He walked more quickly, stumbling more often but he had to find the other. "Geng?"

Finally, as he passed through some bushes, he saw the other from behind and he groaned. Geng was on the forest floor, on a pebbled patch overgrown with moss, on his hands and feet, clearly conscious but seemingly having fallen. He ran to the other and placed a hand on his back. "Geng? Geng? Are you okay?"

He rubbed the others back worriedly, when suddenly Geng turned and a hand was raised to his lips, the other smiling weakly. Shiwon looked at the other's palm, and found it filled with water, slowly dribbling down over the sides of his hands. Looking in front of the elder, Shiwon could see a tiny stream amongst the pebbles, the remains of a once much larger river perhaps, small but enough. He breathed a deep sigh of relief and drank from the other's hand, then smiled back at him.

"I told you I'd be okay." Geng spoke. "I'm sorry. You're very strong." Geng laughed a little at Shiwon's words, and Shiwon enjoyed the sound, and then he coughed and Shiwon couldn't think of two more contrasting sounds. "Fill the canteens there, and we'll stay here a while." Geng spoke as he regained his breath. It sounded more like a request than an order, and Shiwon did so as the other sat back on the stones, taking one of the containers as it was handed to him. Shiwon filled his own and sat opposite him.

"I'm sorry if I annoy you. I've always been like this." he said after taking a gulp of the refreshing liquid. "You don't annoy me." Shiwon lied, then chuckled as the other gave him a flat look. "You do. But it's because you have a strong mind, and there's nothing wrong with that." The younger shrugged. "My mama disagrees. She says I'll never get married because of it. That no woman wants to marry a mule." Geng grinned a little."I admire it personally. Close with your mother are you?" Shiwon asked, taking a drink of his own water, draining the canteen happily. Han nodded. "Always have been."

"I'm similar." Shiwon admitted, running his hand through his hair. There was silence between them a while as they drank, Shiwon refilling their canteens again as they finished the first set.

"Would you like to get married some day?" Geng asked him, and Shiwon smiled at the curious tone in his voice. "My father intends to arrange one for me soon." Shiwon answered."But do you want to?" Shiwon gave this some thought. "I want children." he said simply, capping the first canteen and putting it back in his bag. "Aren't they a bit interconnected?" Shiwon finished the second and offered it to Han, but the other refused and he added it to his bag. "Not necessarily."

The silence resumed, with only a cough or two more while they sat, enjoying the soft sunlight and the sound of the water as it trickled past them. "I'm sorry if I made you worry."

"Hmm?" Shiwon raised his eyebrows at the elder after he spoke. "You were calling." Geng explained, rubbing at his bandage softly. Shiwon thought he didn't look right, whatever it was. Same soft featured face and masked pain, but, more than that ..... his aura lacked well being, Shiwon supposed. "That's okay." Shiwon said, shaking his head. "You were fine. That's what mattered."

-----

His limp was getting worse. Shiwon could see it, and he was worried. The other was so stubborn, walking on, most of the time not even accepting his help anymore, and he could only make it worse with a bull headed attitude like that. Sure, Shiwon didn't know medicine, but he knew that much.

It was their third break that day when he tilted his mouth unhappily, looked at the elder's pale face, the pain visible there that he failed to disguise and the sweat that condensed on his brow and spoke. "I'm carrying you." Geng opened his mouth to argue but Shiwon spoke again, before he could utter a word. "Please, don't. Just accept my help."

Geng paused and Shiwon hoped he really was just going to leave it be, but that hope was quickly over run. "I don't need to be carried. You're being silly. I'm fine." But Shiwon knew he was nothing of the sort. There was protecting his pride and being strong with this kind of stubbornness, but the elder took it too far. He looked the other up and down, frowning.

"Would it be so bad? To accept my help?" he questioned quietly. "It's not that, I just don't need it." Geng shook his head. "Don't be stupid, please." Shi rubbed his fingers against his temple, feeling a headache coming on. "Do you have some problem with me? Is that it?" Han shook his head again as if this was crazy. " No, no, you're... you're really great. You... you were a great soldier, the best in your squad. Even if you are soft."

Shiwon tilted his head, not understanding why he would bother to bring up something like that now, but deciding it didn't matter. What was important was convincing the other of the necessity of this; he wouldn't let himself be distracted. "Please. This is important to me. I.... I.. you're a good man and I want to help you. We need each other, and to trust each other. Let me." he implored.

After a few soft seconds, Geng nodded and Shiwon let out a breath, relieved. He moved to the other, lowering himself slightly to assist the other onto his back, and after a brief pause, Geng wrapped his arms around his neck, and Shiwon hoisted him up.

-----

Shiwon watched the other's face, a little over a week later. He had carried him the entire time, but Geng got no better. He only seemed worse. He listened with a furrowed brow to the sound of the other's coughs. They had continued to get thicker, more chesty, longer bouts at a time. The other's face seemed terribly pale and wane. He had no energy. He slept sometimes as Shiwon kept him on his back. Something wasn't right. Shiwon had tried seeing if he could do anything about the other's wound, but there was nothing visibly wrong with it. It had all come on so fast, too fast.

It only made him push harder. He'd get Geng out of this forest, to a doctor somehow. They couldn't be far now, according to Geng's memory of the maps. Soon they'd reach the outer limits, the trees would be growing more sparse, then they'd hit open fields, and from there they could make their way to a town. Soon.

"It'll be tonight." Geng spoke softly, throat hoarse, eyes closed. Shiwon had thought he had been sleeping as he watched him and was surprised by the sudden sound. "What will Geng?" he asked. The air was crisp and clear, the skies overhead only slightly visible through the canopy of the trees, the palest streaks of blue moonlight slipping through to light where they lay.

"The night I leave you." The elder said simply. Shiwon's heart fell. He had known, of course. He wasn't a fool. But it was different, hearing it aloud. He had wanted to pretend it would go away, more and more as it got worse, more and more as he got to know the other. If it wasn't said aloud, it was easier to ignore somehow. Soon, he was now forced to accept, would not be soon enough.

"Don't be silly. Where are you going? You can't get anywhere without me. I'm practically your steed." he tried to joke softly, but his voice sounded weak. Geng smiled ever so slightly, and the sight calmed him, if only a little. "You know." The light of Geng's face emphasized his paleness, but the sick look, the too-clear definition of his cheek bones seemed to disappear. He was fuller faced, not necessarily healthy looking, but healthier looking. It was a heartening sight, even if it was only an illusion.

"You've been too good to carry me this far. Most would have left me days ago." Shiwon shook his head. "Never. Why would I?" he didn't want to say it aloud. There would be hope. There had to be. They'd meet a road or a company travelling through the woods, a farm or a traveller's post. Somehow, someway. Things were not supposed to end this way at all. He wondered was he simply too optimistic.

"Please Shiwon.... it's-" he broke off into a fit of coughing, and Shiwon held him tight, brushing his hands down his back soothingly. He felt the man's entire thin frame shake continuously. When it finally ended, the other raspily continued. "- it's been good getting to know you. I'm glad I got to do that. I never imagined this would happen but.... I am glad it was with you. I meant it when I said you were a good soldier. A good man."

Shiwon shook his head again, and didn't know how to answer, eyes avoiding the other's. "Shiwon?" Geng's hand came up to touch his face weakly. The other felt so fragile in his arms and he had to look back at him. He looked deep into them, shining in the twilight. There was no steel when he looked there anymore. The coldness had gone away a while ago, but the steel had remained, the other's strength and will and stubborness. Now, it had disappeared, rusted away as the sickness within him had spread. "You go home when all this is over. Find a way.... get married.... have a baby.... grow old." He smiled a touch again, and Shiwon felt his eyes water, and he wanted to pull them away but couldn't.

"You'll come home too though Geng, don't worry. It might seem far now but we'll make it." his voice sounded even quieter, weaker than the other's. "You'll get married too, and have children. Maybe we'll even live near each other, hmm?" Geng shook his head, smiling shaking his head. "My heart belongs to someone I can't ever marry. Even if I could go home."

Those words echoed in Shiwon's mind, and he knew the meaning. Whatever had happened in these past weeks, in the murmuring of his heart. Maybe it was the pressure of their position, the stresses of being thrown together in such a messed up moment of time. Shiwon doubted it. Like the sickness, the older saying it aloud only made it worse. Better for knowing, but worse for what was going to happen.

Geng had gone silent, as if this was enough for him, his eyes slipping closed, but Shiwon didn't want to let him go. His mind searched for questions frantically as the other coughed again. "Geng .... you never told me why you ran, like I did? Geng?" he shook the other softly, as if rousing someone from their sleep. It was a sorry thing, not to let the other go if he had said his piece, but there was so much more that he wanted to know, so much more time that he wanted.

"... I'm much the same as you Shiwon ... I think in another life ... we must have been very close ... Your squad were my first. I thought I could handle it but ... every death ... every young face that disappeared. That was my fault, for not training them hard enough, or being too hard on them .... I had to write every letter. To a mother or father or wife ... I couldn't take it anymore. Is that selfish?"

Shiwon bit his lip, one solitary slipping down onto his cheek from his watery eyes, and he shook his head desperately. "No, no, not at all. It's.... it's brave. Some people are just too kind for war." He remembered the other's words of advice to him on his guilt. He didn't know what else to say, he held the other, mind still racing. It was like too many thoughts processing all at once, none quite getting through. Not yet, not yet, he begged and prayed to God. What else was there to say though? He couldn't find any words.

There was silence for a few moments as he thought, and then ... "Geng? ... Geng?" The other's breathing was slow now. He looked almost like he was asleep, face a picture of tranquility. His lips were pale, breathing shallow, barely moving at all, even in the rise and fall of his chest. Shiwon pulled him tight to him, to feel the beat of his heart in these last few seconds. But even it was distant, beating too soft within it's owners chest. Didn't it understand it needed to be stronger now to keep him going? Didn't it feel the other slowly slipping away?

" ... Yes?" "I ... I never got to see you dance. I wanted to see you dance." There were three words he could say and he knew they'd be nearest true he might ever manage, but it seemed so unfair to say it now, in the elder's last breaths. Wanting to see him dance seemed a silly thing to say; something that barely seemed to matter, in the grand scheme of things. He wished he could have said something wonderful to ease the other or soothe him, something poetic. Something the other deserved to hear. But all he could muster was that silly wish, as if that would be enough to bring him back from the brink.

But Geng smiled, as if it was the most beautiful thing he could have said. Shiwon watched the moonlight dance across his face, over his closed eyelids and his lips, his cheekbones and his hair, an unearthly blue cast across his features and Shiwon's touched one hand to his cheek. An angel, fallen and now returning. Leaning in close and he heard the other's response in barely a whisper. And then, the other exhaled and Shiwon watched him, tears flowing freely, unashamedly, and for one simple slow moment, he leant in to press his lips softly to the other's, for only a few soft seconds, a first and a last.

Then he cradled the other's body till the slim arms around him lost their strength and on through the night and into the morning, when the sun peeked through the trees and the other's body grew cold, crying bitterly and feeling himself growing cold too.

Not today ... not tommorrow .... but someday, I'll dance with you.

Watched

Title: Watched (Or A Simple Routine And What Matters About A Waltz)
Pairing: ShiHan
Rating: PG
Word Count: 595
Warnings: N/A
Notes: Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt: Watched of my Table: Slash/Femslash

The routine is always the same.

They will be at some function or dinner, more than likely sent there to represent the company, or occasionally to be there for some family member and they've invited the other along, and as the plates are cleared away, the band will strike up some old song. A slow, quiet melody of some sort, and no matter where they are, Shiwon always thinks the songs sound exactly the same, a tune that follows them, just like what happens next.

Couples take to the floor. Geng will never get up to look for a partner. They always sit together, so he has to listen to others, women coming to ask the Chinese man to dance, knowing his skill and his grace, his reputation for gentleness and charm. Geng will always refuse, politely but solidly and puts his charm to work so that whoever asks him leaves him feeling better about themselves than they did when they came.

There will be a few minutes of silence between them, as they sit together, watching other pairs moving around the dance floor. Shiwon will try and tap his foot to the slow rhythm, see if he can map it out in his mind so that when he gets up there he'll be in someway ready. Geng sits patiently, looking happy to be sitting though Shiwon knows that isn't true.

Shiwon will swallow slowly, brush a hand through his hair to make sure it's still styled perfectly. Stands up and flattens out the creases in his shirt. (Even if he'll look a fool out there, at least he can look a handsome fool.) Then he'll turn to the elder, and ask in a soft tone, extending a hand. "Would you like to dance with me hyung?" Geng's face will blossom into a bright, surprised smile, though surely he must expect Shiwon asking at this stage, and will nod, taking his hand and standing too.

They'll move onto the floor and Shiwon will put a hand on the younger's waist, this other curling into Geng's, and they'll waltz. If the songs at each gathering are any way different, it seems the waltz fits them all. Shiwon couldn't think of a dance that would fit the elder more; elegant and wonderful and long and flowing. He also couldn't think of a dance that suited him less.

He'll step on Geng's feet at least three, maybe four times and will always apologize profusely as he blushes and promises himself not to make the mistake again. Geng acts as if he barely notices, and maybe from the amount of times they've done this, his feet are actually hardened against it by now.

Other couples, the majority of whom are male-female, will look over to see what they're doing with curiosity. Geng seems not to notice; his eyes stay almost exclusively on Shiwon. Shiwon feels his dancing get worse under their stares, not because he's ashamed of dancing with the other, but just ashamed of his dancing.

After a few minutes of this slow movement, awkward for the younger, they'll stop and Geng will watch him. "I'm sorry hyung. I'll never be very good." Geng will always give this same small smile that Shiwon finds endlessly beautiful, and there'll be a warmth in his eyes that Shiwon will always feel.

The routine's end is always the same, but the other's words are enough to make Shiwon happy to repeat it every party and dinner. "I don't care about it being good. What matters is that I get dance with you."

Title: Care
Pairing: ShiHan
Rating: PG
Word Count: 185
Warnings: N/A
Notes: Not particularly good, mini drabble. I know this isn't an awful lot written for today but I'm trying to get a longer one done for tomorrow so you'll have to try and forgive me XD Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 4: Care of my Table: Un-Themed 8 .

"Look at that hyung. Just look." Shiwon smiled broadly as he looked at their hands, Geng's hand lying flat, back against Shiwon's palm. The younger had been brushing his hands smoothly and full of care over the elder's, playing with his finger's as Geng rested against him.

"Look." "What?" Geng smiled back, looking at their hands, and tilting his head in partial confusion."I don't see anything." "Whaaaaat?" Shiwon laughed. "Don't you see." Geng grinned, shaking his head and looking at their hands a little more closely. "Nothing."

"Look at your hand, then look at mine.".... yes?" "See the tips of your fingers, and the bottom of your hand." "Yes?" "Oh come on now hyung, it's obvious." Geng tilted his head a touch more, admiring the sight carefully. "I don't get it." he sighed.

"They line up perfectly with mine. Your hand is just small enough, just a little bit smaller than mine..." the younger boy closed his hand around the elder's. "To fit in it perfectly. That's destiny hyung." Shiwon confirmed, nodding wisely. Geng laughed and turned his head to cature the younger's lips.

Title: Father
Chapter: 5
Pairing: N/A still.
Rating: PG for this part probably
Word Count: 1880
Warnings: N/A
Notes: Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt: Father of my Table: Un-Themed 8 .

"And EunHyuk.... you know EunHyuk? Oh you do Geng. Skinny, gaunt guy. Always swore he'd never tell anyone about here, or pull anyone away from earth? Yes him. Well he's gone and done it. Hae something's his name. Boy looked like a scared puppy when we saw him, ready to wet himself. Which I believe.... brings us neatly to our next topic." HeeChul finished finally as Shiwon began listening again. "Yes Geng. You said you'd never look for someone to teach. But I see someone ready to be taught sitting right here." Shiwon had already decided that he liked KangIn a lot more than HeeChul.

"Someone to teach? He's not my apprentice. I picked nothing. Followed me through a hole when I was out dealing with a bone thief that crossed to home." Shiwon bit his lip as all eyes turned to him. "Walked through, just like that?" KangIn said, stroking his chin. "... I like that. Ballsy. Never heard of someone just walking through before." "I did it cause of J-" "Yes Yes Shiwon we'll get to that." Geng gave him the same look as earlier and Shiwon, despite himself, fell quiet again.

Geng nodded, as if he expected nothing less, and Shiwon saw a smile blossom onto KangIn's lips as HeeChul grimaced in his own direction. "KangIn.... have you been noticing anything... strange, with the beings from out here recently?" Geng asked. "Strange? What do you mean by strange?" KangIns smile was only brief as he refocused on the conversation. "Just.... not doing as they usually do. Their behavior." KangIn look as if he was considering and then nodded hesitantly. "The eyeless. You know they usually hunt solo-" Shiwon had a feeling that fact was for his benefit and mentally, though he had no idea what an eyeless was, he thanked the other man. "-but recently I ran into a pack of three. Not squabbling either, hunting together."

Geng took this in, his face troubled. "The bone thief I tracked to home.... it found a friend of Shiwon. In a library they were, night time. Just the two of them. But there was no blood, no spilled stomach, no nothing. Bone thief had gone too. I think it must have taken the boy away with him. " KangIn's mouth was open slightly as he thought, his eye piercing as he stared into nothing for a moment. "You're sure? There’s no chance it might have just dragged him away to do its work somewhere else." HeeChul asked as Geng shook his head.

".... what do you think it means?" KangIn asked, frowning and looking at Shiwon suddenly, though Shiwon was quite sure the question was not aimed at him, single eye burning into him. "I don't know. It could be nothing; random occurrence and that Junsu person could be dead for all we know." Geng shrugged. "But it could be something else... something worse. So I asked you hear to see if you wanted to help me look into it. KiBum and HeeChul and... SooYoung was it? HeeChul, Kibum and SooYoung are free to come too."

"You looking to work in a group Geng? Never thought I'd see the day." KiBum said, seemingly half joking. "Just in case I die. Some things are better left fully investigated." Geng said nonchalantly, shrugging again as if death was nothing. Shiwon looked at him for a while, brow creasing ever so slightly, wondering what would make a man take on an attitude like that and feeling some sympathy for him.

"Well, seems more major than going around checking up on who is planning to break through to our planet next. I'm in." His gaze turned to SooYoung. "You don't have to go Soo. You can go home, spend some time there. If I survive I'll come get you." Shiwon assumed that she was some kind of apprentice to him from his words, and he thought that she would take the chance to get home away from all this madness, as Shiwon knew he would in her position but to his surprise, she shook her head. KangIn nodded approvingly and as the other two gave their consent, Geng nodded too. "Good. I'll see can I pick of the track of the-"

Geng froze for a moment, then shook his head. "Actually could you Kangin. I have something to attend to." "Course. You just give me where you know he last travelled too." Geng did so and then, simply, the group dispersed, KangIn heading off to the side, presumably to start finding the bone thief, KiBum and SooYoung following him, but HeeChul stayed, moving toward Geng but the foreigner waved him away. "Things to do Chul." he said simply and then moved toward Shiwon.

"You should go home." Shiwon blinked a few times as the other spoke, half not believing that they were back to this. "I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times, no!" "... what? No, not that, I can already tell I'm not getting rid of you. I mean... you should go home." Geng said meaningfully. "You should let your parents know you are going away; say you're going on a long holiday or something. You might not be back for a while." Shiwon blinked a few times more. He hadn't thought of that. In all the commotion of the last day he hadn't had any real time to think clearly, in his defense, but that should have been his first concern.

"I can't lie; my mother always knows." Shiwon shook his head. "Leave a letter then. Something. It'll makes things easier when you actually do go back, instead of there being a police search and you having to explain to the news where you were. "

It was a few hours later when Shiwon slipped through the rip into the dark, looking around and stumbling before managing to find a light switch. "Oh. Here again." Geng noted as he followed him through, closing the hole shut and taking a seat on the edge of the bed. "Remember. Don’t take too long and don't get stuck talking to anyone." Shiwon nodded as he opened the door and slipped out into the hallways.

He crept quietly toward the kitchen, past the bedrooms where he could hear his father snoring, careful to make as little noise as possible, and as he entered the room, he walked to the fridge. Taking one of it's many magnets, he pinned his slip of paper to the metallic surface, leaving it unfolded as he figured that would be the best way for them to read it. Moving to the cupboards, he realized how hungry he was and pulled out a packet of oreos and some chocolate digestives and pushed them into his pockets for later, not wanting to linger too long like the other had said. But this, he realized with a frown, could be his last time in the kitchen, and for that reason, he waited a minute more, just taking in the room and his surroundings, then moved out again.

Reaching his room again, he found the elder lying out flat on his bed. "Reminiscing?" he asked with a soft smile. "I miss the feel of a soft bed sometimes." Geng replied simply, sitting up and looking at the younger. "All done." Shiwon nodded, reaching into his pocket for a digestive, and offering one to the elder. He took it hesitantly, inspecting it. "It's not poisonous." Shiwon chuckled and Geng looked at him. "It's a chocolate digestive right?" "Mhmm~" "Just making sure." he popped the biscuit in his mouth, resting back against the headboard for a moment.

They stayed like that, munching away silently, till Shiwon swallowed. "Why wouldn't it be?" he asked, tilting his head, a touch confused. "Oh no reason. Just wasn't sure they were still out." Shiwon frowned, wondering what the other could possibly mean by that but before he could ask, Geng stood and moved to the front of the bed, opening the rip again and gestured for the younger to go in it before him.

Shiwon was about to do so when something in his mind twinged in remembrance, from that night when they had first met, and he looked at the elder. ".... the symbol. The blocker, KangIn called it?" Geng looked back at him for a moment, then nodded. "Good kids deserve good dreams" he shrugged but Shiwon smiled at him, and after a moment, and only for a moment, Geng smiled back. Whatever about images in nightmares and bone thieves, Geng had a nice smile in real life. Then, Shiwon stepped through the rip.

On the other side, Geng emerged after him, and they were approached by KangIn. "Got him." he spoke quickly. "Not sure where exactly; I've only got the residue on where he travelled, and it's not to a place I'm familiar. So we're jumping in there blind but.... I've done worse I suppose." Geng nodded in comprehension. "When can we leave?" "Right now. KiBum and SooYoung have a little food in their packs, and they've got Shiwon's too so I think we're all set." Looking behind the scarred man, Shiwon could see the two and HeeChul heading for them.

"Open her up then." KangIn nodded at Geng's words and began to open the rip, but Shiwon frowned, wondering something suddenly. "We... fight the things out here with magic right?" he asked, looking at the foreigner. "Yes." "..... shouldn't someone teach me some then?" KangIn grinned at Geng as the hole opened, then looked at Shiwon, shaking his head. "No school here. If we get in a fight you'll use it if you have it in you. Natural reflex and the desire to live will handle that for you." And with that, the man passed into the blackness. The three who had come with him soon followed leaving only Shiwon and Geng on the beach.

"Shoes off." Geng instructed, looking at the younger. "Helps the flow of magic." He paused, his eyes appraising the other and Shiwon felt his stomach turn nervously. If you have any, that is." "If I don't...." "Then you probably won't survive. " Geng shrugged and Shiwon bit his lip, pushing his trainers from his feet them leaning down to push of his socks, leaving them inside the shoes. He wondered for a moment if he should run back and leave them in the shell, but it seemed an awful lot of hassle and would only hold the others up. And it wasn't like there was anyone who was going to steal them here anyway.

Placing them on the sand, he looked back to where the elder had been but Geng was already gone, away through to wherever they were heading. What am I doing? an honest voice said in his own mind. In other worlds with hardened warriors, out of my depth and searching for someone who doesn't even mean that much to me. Maybe finding out all of this did turn me insane.

Sighing, he looked around the white sands of the beach, and in the distance, where the peaceful monolith turtles moved and basked.

Then, for the second time in as many days, without having the faintest clue what lay on the other side, he looked at the hole and walked through.

Nightmare

Title: Nightmare
Chapter: 4
Pairing: N/A still.
Rating: PG for this part probably
Word Count: 2006
Warnings: N/A
Notes: Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 2: Nightmare of my Table: Horror .

KangIn chewed his lip as he closed the hole behind him, looking around at the beach scenery for an instant and sighing, shaking his head. Geng came here far too often. His attachment to the place was only right; there wasn't anywhere like this left in the outer reaches, but coming here too regularly would draw unwanted attention. And the peace would be ruined if any of the bastard things from the other outer places slipped in.

Wondering to himself what the older had called them here for, he looked at the other three. KiBum stood, patiently awaiting his orders, while SooYoung looked around in slight wonderment; she had never been here, KangIn remembered and he let her take in her bearings for a moment. HeeChul, however, had already begun trekking down the beach, twenty metres away from them already. There was no real leader in their group but KangIn had the most experience of their four; he wished the man would at least wait on his word before running off, regardless of how safe they were at the current time.

Nodding to the younger two, KangIn followed the red head and the other two fell in behind him. "Why are we here anyway?" SooYong asked, pulling at her ponytail. KangIn shrugged. "Geng called, so we came." "Geng?" "An old friend." KiBum explained. "I've missed having something soft under my feet for once." The two men smiled at the girls words and continued on, finally catching up with HeeChul after a few minutes. The bare feet were a bother, KangIn supposed, when you were walking through forests full of thorns or over brittle but sharp rocks, but better cut soles and easier use of the magic then uncut soles and death.

As they passed by the giant monolith turtles, Sooyoung gave a sigh and a coo. "Oh aren't they just beautiful." "I told you about them." KiBum noted. "I know but.... it's different seeing them" "But I told you. Exactly what to expect. Just so you wouldn't get distracted." "Still it's different." KangIn shook his head, knowing boths feelings. To SooYoung it was new sight, something magnificent, like a reward for the work she had put in since she had joined them perhaps three months ago. KangIn had been hesitant to take a female into their group, but HeeChul insisted, and she had proven a far more vicious and tactical fighter than either of the other two had been.

To KiBum, this was just another spot to be corrupted; old sights that distracted only briefly from what lay in other places. He had been like SooYoung once, KangIn remembered it, but now with only a few years service done, he believed himself above these things; a kind of world weariness that would fade as he finally matured. Innocence didn't last long in their line of work, and neither did immaturity.

Ignoring the sights, KangIn focusing instead on looking around the area carefully. This was supposed to be one of the safe places, but Geng had been supposed to meet them by the rip. It was impossible to know if something had happened.

His wariness proved rewarding when he spotted, by a jagged rock, a red stain on the sands, and it didn't take a genius to guess what liquid it was. KiBum was continuing his questioning of SooYoung and he hissed at them, a quick "Shut up" leaving his lips (which they promptly did) and he moved toward the blood, brushing a finger against it, considering. "Three hours. Maybe four. Everyone be one watch." The groups atmosphere immediately changed; KangIn could practically feel Chul's hackles raise, SooYoung's eyes widen and KiBum becoming ready to draw on his abilities, hands inches away from grabbing onto the magic that he was most skilled in.

As they reached the empty shell, KangIn heard a cry of pain and moved forward before the others, gesturing with his hand, and they immediately fell back to a safe distance, unquestioning of his orders at least in important times. KangIn approached the shell, glancing inside to see what they were faced with, and once he did, he had to laugh and breathe a sigh of relief.

There sat Geng, on another boys body, treating a gash along his back. "Oh don't be such a baby. Healing is not that sore." Geng frowned, running his hand over the wound, up down and KangIn watched as the skin from either side began to reach across the small red divide, like fleshy threads patching up the cut. The man underneath whined again.

"What happened?" KangIn grinned as the two looked up in surprise. "Idiot had a nightmare and sleep walked out onto the beach. Fell on a rock. Pity it wasn't his skull instead." Geng shook his head and stood up as KangIn looked back at the three on the beach, waving at them to tell them it was safe. The other boy had a face like a smacked ass at this comment, but underneath KangIn could see the troubled look in his eyes. "Don't worry lad." he said, reaching out a hand to introduce himself. "We've all had those dreams. Geng'll fix up a little blocker for you and you'll sleep peaceful from now on." "Already have." Geng sighed.

"KangIn."

"Shiwon. Pleasure to meet you."

As he shook the older man's hand, Shiwon took in the sight before him. While Geng looked relatively normal, or even soft by anyone's standards, KangIn was clearly a man of these outer worlds; torn clothing, dirty face, unshaven and frankly smelling more than a little off colour, but it was his face Shiwon couldn't pull his eyes away from.

He had had one long scar running down the left side of his face, from his forehead to his collarbone, with a brief gap at his eye, but clearly whatever slash had cause it hadn't missed blinding him. Where the left eye would normally be, instead there was a growth of skin, marbled and unnatural and very clearly impossible to see through. It was bumpy and boiled, bulging out and a different, sickeningly yellower tone than the rest of the skin on the other man's face.

His manners left him momentarily as he gawped, then shook his head a little. KangIn grinned, and when he did, Shiwon couldn't help but imagine one of those western outlaws, cigar in one side of their mouths and beer jug in his hand. "That's what Geng's healing did to me." The younger man's eyes widened and his hand went immediately to his back, trying to see if his own cut had taken on the same grotesque appearance. KangIn laughed and Geng snorted. "My healing's gotten better since then. You've just been too chicken to come back and let me have another try." "Oh that's just what he tells people. Magic don’t work on it anymore." KangIn winked at Shiwon, which was quite disconcerting when the scarred man had only one eye to do it with.

The two other men walked out onto the beach and Shiwon followed blankly, not sure what to make of this wild looking man and as he stepped out into the sunlight, slipping on his shirt, he took in the three other people that were there to meet them. He was introduced to them one by one by KangIn; Kibum, only slightly dishevelled looking with tightly cropped hair, HeeChul, red headed and seemingly disinterested in him, and SooYoung, pretty but with large bags under her eyes.

After a few minutes, they were sat in a circle on the sands, and Shiwon was eager to get talking about how to find the bone thief that had taken Junsu, but HanGeng asked what KangIn had been up to since the last time they had seen each other, and it soon transpired that it had been a very long time, as HeeChul, seemingly the group's fact keeper, answered for him, beginning to reel off names and events: "YehSung is gone; trapper got him and he hasn't been seen since." "It's not definite, but KyuHyun passed me the message that YoonA and Lina might have been killed, and that Sunny's gone home. Always said that girl was far too soft and pretty a thing to be out here." "The fire pit, you know that place that's flames and volcanoes? It's core died. Nothing there but barren dusts now." and so on and so forth, names and places that meant nothing to Shiwon.

Ten minutes later, he cleared his throat somewhat noisily as the red head continued to talk on and on. If he heard him, he made no sign of it and continued about some "brass worm" that they had killed (and Chul had seemingly done it it single-handedly if his descriptions were true). After a moment, Shiwon cleared it again and HeeChul fixed him with a gaze, not angry but threatening. "Do you...", he said in a measured voice, "need something for your throat?" Shiwon blinked. "No, no I just... I thought maybe this could all wait. There’s more pressing things at hand, like Jun-"

"Shiwon. Quiet." the command came from Geng, who was also looking at him, frowning softly but not angry either. "But-" "We'll get to it. This is how we do things." Shiwon opened his mouth to say something else but the elders eyes were imploring and he stopped himself, looking back at the other for a moment before nodding submissively, though a touch resentfully. Why could such unconnected, obviously embellished news on the random things from out here be held more important than a man's life?

Sighing, he zoned out, reaching a hand our around his back and into his shirt, feeling at his cut again. It twinged a bit at the touch but Shiwon could feel only smooth, firm skin against his fingertips, and it didn't sting as much as it had been. The healing had been like needles sticking into his skin, though the other's hands had been surprisingly soft and gentle.

The dream. Was it even a dream he wondered. Or rather a nightmare. His first nightmare in at least 8 years; he couldn't remember ever having one in fact. It had been the realest one he could have ever experienced though ; he could still remember the feel of his skin tearing under the blades of that bone thief..... but then, he had fallen onto the rock. Perhaps that had intermingled in his mind.

So strange though, that they would coincide; he hadn't told the elder that, that he had been injured on his back in real life when he had been in his dream, when Geng had shaken him awake as he lay shaking on the sands, bleeding and lost in the terrible violence and pain his mind had created. He had only told him that he had been attacked by a bone thief in his dream; he didn't want to offend the older boy. If dreams really were telling about a persons feelings, then it wouldn't take Geng long to figure out that he was more than a little intimidated by him.

Geng had brought him around fully with a splash of salt water in his face, then had almost physically dragged him back to the shell. Shiwon had been weak and barely awake, still fighting phantoms, so he hadn't managed a walk. Then the elder had stayed awake with him (Shi couldn’t sleep again, shaken by the dream) watching and reassuring.

"We all had them on our first nights and weeks here. There's a reason but it's complicated.... I'll tell you tomorrow. But I do have something that will protect you from them. Blocks them out." Geng had spoken softly and traced his fingertip over Shiwon's forehead in some complex shape or symbol, and something in Shi's memory had stirred but he was feeling too ill to think it over. He just hoped whatever magic that elder had used would work; he never wanted to experience something similar again.

Title: Magical
Pairing: ShiHan, KangTeuk (Also Shi being a a bit of a whore)
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 598
Warnings: N/A
Notes: Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by Prompt 10: Magical of my Table: Slash/Femslash .

Shiwon didn't know how he had let himself get roped into this.

He sat dumbly on the couch, blind fold over his eyes, twiddling his fingers as he heard the sound of giggles and laughter all around him, and he wishes he hadn't had that once extra sip of his drink that had casually made him brave and stupid enough to do this.

But then, he was here, and in the off chance that he would take part in this game, Shiwon knew he wanted to be involved. Or so his partially drunken mind reasoned. There was something about having your sight covered that had a very sobering effect.

First, someone’s lips against his that felt plump and it was gentle but wanton enough, playing the game properly and unashamed of it, game for anything but generic, but the crowd made a collective "Wooo" sound anyways, as if this was something terribly taboo and unexpected. He sighed, trying to think straight about who it was.

"I dunno uh.... BoA?"

There was a bit of a chuckle and then Teukie called to him. "Wrong. Lina. Next~~" Next were a pair of lips that were feminine, and slim, and the kiss was not passionate at all but more like close close friends, a prolonged peck and Shiwon knew for a fact who this had to be, especially considering the low amounts of whooping that went on during it.

"Stella."

He said it passively and the gathered crowd laughed and Teukie called out that he was right again and called for the next person, which turned out to be one of the roughest, most aggressive kisses Shiwon had experienced in his young life. The group whooped and teased again at the clear deepness of it. The taste of alcohol seeped through on his lips and he wasn’t used to someone being quite so dominant even in a kiss and he didn't half mind (and hoped that was down to the alcohol) and he knew there was only one answer.

"KangIn?"

"Is a whore." Teukie added in an annoyed voice after he spoke, and Shiwon could practically hear the sulk in his voice but didn't get too caught up with it as another pair of lips hit his, friendly but extremely hesitant, clearly having been badgered into this by someone and clearly not quite comfortable with the fact that he was kissing a male friend, drunk or half drunk...

"Yunho?"

"You're getting good at this Shiwon." Teukie noted off-handly as Shiwon felt a new pair of lips hit his only this time it was different. The feel of the other's lips were soft and supple, and electricity instant between Shi's and them. There was stronger emotion in the contact that didn't compare to the other's and it was purer than in any kiss Shiwon had felt before. (Unlike the hesitation and drunken lust of the previous kisses) This, he mused, was definitely what you could only call a loving, true kiss.

He kissed back softly at first, lovingly then deeply, turning his head ever so slightly to enjoy it fully, one hand reaching up to cup the other's cheek though there was supposed to be a rule about touching. The kissed lingered, long and passionate, till at last his lips parted from the other's mutually and though he knew whose lips he had just kissed, the young man reached up and took of his blindfold.

He wondered if how dazed he felt was from the sudden new light flooding his eyes, how beautiful Geng's own eyes were, or the magic of that kiss.

Resonant Blue

Title: Resonant Blue
Pairing: ShiHan-igans!
Rating: PG
Word Count: 523
Warnings: N/A
Notes: Mild suckyness, and a first meeting. Done for my Mission Insane claim, as inspired by: Resonant Blue by Morning Musume of my Table: Songs

"He's cold. Stone cold."

"HeeChul hyung don't be silly."

"I'm telling you Shiwon, that boy doesn't want or need friendship. You can see it in his eyes. Lone wolf."

"You can see no such thing; you're just threatened by anyone who is more talked about than you, which he has been since he joined."

"Pfft~"

Geng wonders if they mean for him not to hear. Because surely if they didn't mant him to hear, they talk in whispers, or at least a little more quietly. He is only sitting at the table across from them, and it's not like there's a big crowd surrounding him, blocking out the chance of him hearing whatever they say.

He wonders if that's why they all seem to be avoiding him. Does he really have such a casual face, about sitting alone at lunches and being apart from the group at practices, that they think he doesn't want to talk to them? That he wouldn't enjoy some company in a foreign land?

"You'll go over there and get a cold stare for your trouble. He probably won't even knpw what you're saying to him."

"Hyung he's had lessons for a year~"

"Doesn't mean he learned anything."

Yes here, for an entire year, with only a few lessons but he can pick up most of what they're saying. He wonders if this is why they're all been avoiding him; has he been standoffish? He hadn't meant to be, but he didn't know anything about these kids and wasn't even sure they wanted some foreign team among their number.

Maybe he had been too shy to approach anyone, but it was justified, completely justified. He could tell himself he didn't wish for friends but he'd be lying. He was independent but not to the point of never talking to anyone.

"Aish hyung. You're just anti-social."

"Me? I'm anti social? Who is the one who has been sitting at crowded tables full of friends ever since he got here? Not me. I was sitting at crowded tables since the moment SM signed me."

"Well not everyone is you, hyung. I'm going."

He was sad, he realized. Sad and lonely. He missed his home, and his mama, his friends and his family and he just wanted to feel that kind of warmth again, feel wanted feel-

"Hi."

He blinked a little as he realized that someone had taken the seat in front of him, the handsome one, Shiwon, from the other table.

"Is it alright if I sit here? Not taken?"

Th younger spoke kindly at him Geng wondered briefly if he was joking because it was quite clearly not taken, as no seat at the table was, but all he saw in the other's eye was friendliness and he nodded.

"I'm sorry to interrupt if you were doing anything but, I was just thinking, it can't be easy coming to a new country, and was wondering if you'd like someone to show you around a little?"

Shiwon smiled warmly, in a way the elder boy liked very much, and even though Geng didn't need showing around, he nodded, smiling back.
